Thread: Is it possible to live on trading?(experiences and advice)

I have seen many people in forums and social networks say that you can live from trading.I would like to know your opinions, is it really possible to live only from this?If someone here is already doing it, I would like to know how long it took them to that level and what strategies they use.

Ha!Of course it is possible ... if you like to live at the limit and do not care to have stable income. There are few who achieve it, and of those, half are selling you a course.

It is possible, but it is not easy or fast. Most traders living from trading have spent years learning and perfecting their strategy. It also requires considerable capital to have constant income without risking too much in each operation.

Exactly. You can, but the key is in risk management and patience.Without a well -defined strategy and adequate capital, it is almost impossible to achieve regular income.Do not be fooled by the "gurus" that promise you quick wealth.

Thanks for the answers. My goal is to be able to devote myself full time at some point, but I'm still far from that.My capital is limited, so I'm careful, but I would like to know which minimum capital would recommend to start thinking about living from trading.

With limited capital, forget about living from trading.Training with little money is like trying to fill a bucket with a strainer. To have decent income without going crazy, you need a good amount of capital and a solid strategy.

There is no fixed response, but I would say that at least 50,000 USD is the minimum to think about living from it, and that only if you can obtain a stable profitability of 5-10% monthly. If you are missing capital, you will be tempted to risk more and that can take you to disaster.

Exact! And do not forget taxes, commissions and everything that affects the final result. At the end of the day, if you don't have enough capital, any bad streak could destroy your dreams of living from trading.

I understand, it seems that I still have a lot.I am generating a decent profitability at the moment, but the fluctuations are very large.I suppose that with more capital it would be easier to maintain some stability in profits.

Of course, but with more capital more pressures come.If you do not have a well -proven strategy and a strong mentality, extra money only increases the risk of getting closer.
