Thread: Trading with TDI... Welcome ideas!

I am seeing that some have quite good results with the Slope of the TMA as confirmation of trend. I did not consider it, but if it fits well the period can serve enough. I am testing it with Slope at 12 and 15 as recommended, and so far it goes well. Although yes, you have to be careful with the repainting.

Many of the new traders fall into the trap of using TDI only by crossings and forget the angle and position on the chart. That angle of the green line is more important than it seems. I am developing a slope calculation to incorporate it into the system as a filter. Something like only alert if the angle is greater than X degrees. That can filter a lot of mediocre inputs.

I find it interesting what they said about adjusting the RSI of the TDI to shorter periods. The default is fine, but there are faster pairs where 5-7 works best. I will add an option so that each user can set their own RSI configuration based on the EA. More customization = better results for each style.

The idea of using custom schedules to operate seems brutal to me. There are sessions with more quality of movement and that changes the performance of the system a lot. I am already integrating into the panel the option to define entry time ranges. That will allow to avoid dead hours or high handling zones.

Those who are working with HTF as a filter, thank you. Those ideas are going to be part of the advanced conditional logic of the EA. Especially the crossover of TDI in the upper frame as confirmation. I may not apply it in this first version, but it certainly goes for a strong update. I like that this is becoming a community job.

One mentioned using Fibonacci as a visual support for the TDI. It may sound exaggerated, but confluence with key levels is what separates a good input from a madness. I am thinking of adding alerts only if there is crossing in key recoil zone (38.2%, 61.8%).

I am testing a strategy based only on TDI crosses combined with the color of the ABP and the direction of the TMA slope. So far the signals are quite clean. If anyone wants the temperate to test it, I can upload it here. It is simple but solid. Ideal for H1.

I dont understand why some still underestimate the TDI. If you use it well, its one of the best indicators there is. But of course, its not a system on its own. Its like a copilot: warn you, but you decide whether to turn the wheel or not.

I'm getting some messages asking if this is to build an EA. The answer is yes. This thread looks for ideas for a future automated tool based on TDI. Any suggestions or improvements are welcome, but let's try to keep the focus on objective signals and useful filters.

A detail that few look at: the TDI also works very well for departures. When the green line loses slope or crosses the red one against, it is usually a clear sign of closing the position. I am about to add a warning system also for those cases. Better to go out with partial gains than to see how they fade away because they do not have an exit plan.
