Thread: Any real execution brokers or are they all theaters?

Ive been in forex for more than 6 years and honestly Im starting to think that there isnt a single retail broker with real execution. I always have the same story: slips, spreads inflated in news, commands that dont run or skip the SL as if it didnt exist. I open this thread with a very simple question: has anyone found a broker to run as he says? I dont ask for miracles, just to fulfill the basics without excuses.

Before I used Pepperstone and although at first everything was fine, after 6 months the problems started just when I started to win often. Coincidence, right? Spoiler: I don't think so.

I also went through that stage. I burned with FXCM, then with IC Markets, then I tried Darwinex... all with their details. The worst thing is when you go to the stand and they answer you with a copy-stick.

I dont know if its theater, but there are definitely brokers who act as market owners. I use ThinkMarkets now and the execution has been quite decent, though not perfect.

Let's make it clear: if you're on a standard account, you're probably on the opposite side of the broker. There's no real liquidity there, you're a customer of your internal casino.

The only way to have 100% real execution is to have an institutional account with interbank market access, and that's not going to do it with $500 and MT4.

That said, for small accounts, Eightcap has worked well for me. Good spread, low slippage, but I dont operate aggressive news or scalping. Watch out for expectations as well.

What blows me up is that they paint you an ECN/NDD environment and then you see your trades enter with a delay of 2 seconds. If thats direct to market, Im an astronaut.

Totally according to the comment above. The ECN of many brokers is like ham in gas station sandwiches: pure marketing.

For those who swing trading, many of these problems are not noticed. The drama is for those who do intraday or scalping, where every millisecond matters.
