Thread: Follow the BIG Candle

I am still not sure about Respect the Parent Big Candle Concept. And with almost any EA I believe we ought to accept any loosing trades, however this was an Odd instance for EUR/USD.

Regarding trades in M30 TF, I think that we enter the trade after the candle has traveled too much and exhausted, this might be due to the problem we discussed before in POST #222 or because of using very large ATR or ATR multiplier therefore the pips we are searching are absorbed by the move before the entrance.

Even though it's still early to estimate the EA, I will keep it running until end of April. But I will increase the risk percent to 3% rather than 1% in order to allow for proper position calculation.

In the mean time my strategy for the next Final version is to create 4 tastes of the EA as follows:Scalping: utilizing M1 or M5 - Big_Candle_Scalp Short-Term: Utilizing M15 or M30 - Big_Candle_ST Med-Term: Utilizing H4 - Big_Candle_MT Long Term: Utilizing D1 - Big_Candle_LT New parameters include:Retrace percent for second position. Respect the Big Parent Candle

    Right.

For Your Final version I'm planning to drop ATR and use Typical multiplier on a long period (1 year for M30, 2 years for H4 and so forth ). This amount will be input as an input parameter from the consumer in Fixed Pips (i.e. I shall let the user do his calculations and decide what's the proper size for the significant Candle on each pair/tf).

Today I changed the Risk percentage from 1% to 4% to all pairs. This will allow for better position management but comes at Risk.

93967Hi Abok you discover the secret of the great EA as I see in your BC4 demo chart explorer. I think it's good enough to try out bc4. Do you intend to release bc5 in the future or bc4 was the closing? Congrats for your new job, hope you move it. . Have a wonderful day. .

    Thank you ZiC.

BC4 remains in the evaluation phase, and I believe its better to wait till end of April to appraise it. As I mentioned earlier the EA was not working as it is supposed to due to lot size problems linked to Minimum Lot set by Broker (which I did not know when opened that Account). Now with the increased Risk Percentage and a dividable Lot Size, the EA will attempt to make the most of Trend Trading, although this wont be easy as we're using time frame, but we will give it a go and see.

On the other hand, I've received through my PM, a few valuable remarks and ideas from respectable FF members on how best to improve this EA. I will study and incorporate what is possible into BC5 planned on May 2014.

    Indices and Profitable Trading,

    Khalil

93967Unfortunately PC at work which is conducting the EA was due to power disconnection. I hope that it did not wreck any thing. People planning to utilize auto trading ought to get an VPS account.
