Thread: My trading journey

I truly don't have a slightest clue why I started this threadmy own journal to my journey to forex I began trading live August 2008 where the start of world economic turnoil and I did not have any clue whatsoever of what I had been into. I signed up to get a live account (5k regular acct in fxcm) after a sales person out of fxcm created a lot of very promising sales pitch about forex. I remember him saying having an expense of $3,500 (regular account) it is possible to double your equity at no time until now I do not have a clue what he meant by that. I started an account thinking I will become rich in a faster way but to my dismay a few days later, the market needed humiliated me alive.

I financed my account a few times and until I realized my life economy was now bleeding and said to myself something needs to have to be achieved, and as soon as possible. I had been sitting infront of my screen after a long afternoon of business accounts consolidations (my own business - small cafe) I had been studying few threads out offorexforum.co.zaand stumbled to's ribbon, TFA and I had been really stuck into his thread. I had been so interested and read the thread through (4 full days) and re-read again, although I was not an active poster even now, but an enthusiastic follower. All his teachings really for me personally is a gold mine. Frankly, I was really trying hard to absorb what he is trying to edue since he employed a lot of kinda encrypted or coded language left for us to decypher and plus the words that are misspelled oh, it's really a wonderful read.

I have heard from him how to follow and follow the market, feel the heartbeat and respond quickly to whatever she (the market) gives. I truly enjoyed experimenting's rescue tactics but preffered cutting reductions and conducting profits than rescuing my troops for I never really had a high success rate by doing this. Until today I am doing 112 113 attack arrangement as is teaching, I think I can't afford higher level than this. I preffer to adhere on attacks than simply quitting, however when time dictates and need be, I think I have to do this - I think I have a very solid understanding of how to get it done directly

Okay here's my blotter from thursday and friday transactions... I enjoy playing eur/usd, aud/usd and gbp/usd but shy away from cable lately due to its mad spikes. I enjoy euro and aud pairs better since it really trends and the correction is subtle, I can manage it emotionaly this reveals how I fair with my entry and exit calls, I have to be nimble. I allow the winner conduct and cut losses quick.

Here's my tuesday trade only following the momentum begins to rise and upon seeing V formation I actually entered then second long candle closed (only after two dojis). I am investing in 5 min window and also with a reference of 15m and 1 hour. There were 3 possible long entrance there but I just exchange what I could afford as I have stated, my attack sequence is only 112 or 113, with this commerce, I had position 2 of my soldiers (i.e. 1 ) so at this time I was waiting for posible two or three places long entry which was indied over the final drawn point at which another doji star appear, therefore I was cautious and only waited for the correct time to enter, which I did following the price came back up and break passed the line following several candles past.

This was my trade last two weeks ago, this was friday but I have the ability to ride down the bus and appreciated few pips. When I opened my display the correction of the first swing (following the doji star) was forming and I was just awaiting confirmation for my entrance. I assess 1 hour and 15 min windows and it all pointing down and the daily chart is bear bias, so I knew I will be bear mode, and back to 5 min window to spot a the ideal entry.

I actually entered then instant bear candle closes (confirmation of bear rejection @ 1.2490) and it moved a tiny bit againts me until it shoots down, and boy that the momentum was very strong, the bears and bulls were battling fiercely with no remorse I was just tightened my seat belt.

After 45 minutes of wild candle swings another bear rehjection was formed (pin bar @ 1.2450 area) so I waited for the ideal time to enter another two position and was able to enter 1.2430.

Riding the bus until the forming of dual bottom, squared all of my position @ 1.2370 and I called it a day!

this is how my screen will appear when I am still feeling the pulse of this market and waiting for an entry. I followed teaching regarding romancing 3 kingdoms, well nearly I added 1 domain really (aud). It took me sometime to really relate to the and its own importance, but boy I am so glad I did.

Once I found my entry, I am just going to minimize other windows except the one I am into and as is e, I will e the best way I could.

On times that there is not much activity, and my soldier is in deep seas, I generally pull 15 minutes and 1 hour window to seek direction, if I am still in the ideal direction just currently experiencing a minor correction I will just wait for the price to return to its initial direction and plays rescue or if it seems a deep retracement or potential reversal, I am just going to kill my troops right there and then, cutting reductions.
