The Lucky Episode 2 - May 2018 - A little more than just luck, 121%

I'm still at the phase of the occasional thing, you understand, once you're successful two or three months before the sudden comes or that the market changes, we all know that, so this chance phase should now come to an end. Let us see if markets are constantly changing or if they're always the same, let's see if I will continue trading in the forthcoming months (weeks?) Like now. In the meantime, my results are more than encouraging and certainly, at least I expect, because of something more than just luck. It's up to me to confirm these results by repeating what I'm doing, the markets are encouraging me to do so, at least and maybe, till they decide differently.

On the risk side of matters, my worries have a bit dissipated but that doesn't mean that I will not continue watching it very closely. My yield by trade indies a nice up tendency and even if a few reductions could be egorized as big, between 5% and 10% of equilibrium, no less! No single losing trade indies a disproportionate drawdown in the entire picture and that is due also to the bigger winning transactions, thus the value of letting the profits run in order to maintain the profit factor above 2 if possible.

This month I finally got the tide I was awaiting in CADJPY. One goal reached after two months of half or failures failures.
I needed to be individual but finally it came at the ideal time and in the end it makes me closure a very good month with a stellar 121% in profit.

With this month of trading, I believe my luck period over and announce a new Encouraging span of 3 months open, this period will serve to affirm that there wasn't only chance involved with my own trading.

Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.

Terminating the week with a bunch of losing micro transactions. All fine as for me personally the markets were in distribution mode.

Hopefully this should change next week...

Brokertrader, I have two suggestions for you, not forcing one to accept. You're carrying too much risk. First you have to understand compound interest. By compounding little wins, it will get you more than having a roller coaster journey although roller coaster ride is fun and exciting. Respect the greater time frame tendency. If you want to exchange with trend, you need to look at multiple timeframes. For me personally, I look at Weekly, Daily, H4 and eventually H1 before deciding what to do. This is the reason why I build an automated EA because it is too time consuming and confusing to keep taking a look at charts.

    Hello,

    1. I understand the principle of going by 2-3% of account dimensions risk per transaction, but I'm not interested in that, because I did it in the first and past, it is too boring for me, and secondly, it doesn't fit my goals. I always take my trade as a hobby for now, and my target is to eventually become quite profitable fast, not in 10 or 20 years from today, that's why I said previously that I have to find the correct risk for me personally, the one which brings profits quick enough provided that the system remains durable. I need one year to remove, the day it occurs I understand that my account will be safer than today and so even carrying a 30% reduction like I got lately.
The key for me is finding the balance point between the risks which sooner or later translates into losses, the profits which translates into account grow and one important point that's almost always ignored, the recovery period when you choose a loss.

    2. This principle applies for medium/long term swing or position transactions. As I mentioned in my initial article, I trade largely H1 and H4 time frames and even being in that lower time frames for a trend following system that's mine, I still only trade once daily or a little more on average, so it is now perfectly manageable. I'm in the process of writing an EA anyhow , I know a little about programming as you can see from this thread but nevertheless have some aspects which are somewhat difficult to interpret code but it will happen...

Thank you for your suggestions but as you can see, I understand perfectly where I am and what I'm doing and even if that still doesn't work, all is fine for now!

    Trade well!
