Thread: Trend Following Quest

To me that run up looks like a corrective up move, the overall trend is still down with constant LH and LL's maybe it is hoping to achieve a breakout point and sellers will take it down from there, I'm wondering how you define the wave up and down?

I have been attempting to trade with the trend, but it turns out that time that entry and telling apart corrective move from impulse wave is much more challenging than buying low and selling high that is really a no brainer and if you are lucky you can definitely hit home runs.

The entry and exit decisions are made only on the H1. After the factI can look at H4 and daily, but just for pleasure like saying let us look at what H4 and D1 are saying.
For mepersonally, those timeframes are sort of unique worlds, you cannot exchange them the same style they don't produce exactly the very same waves.

I exchange waves H1, while we can call them tsunamis on D1

I don't specify and I do not know if what I am on is a tide or not, you only know that at the end. If you re-read my very first post carefully, it is all written in it.

If really buying low, selling high was a currently brainer we would all be millionaires! So I do not think so. Dont remain stuck at previous far LH's and LL's but look just at recent price action, that's what I do.

As for why EURUSD and CADJPY, EURUSD is the most liquid and traded pair, and CADJPY since it is not directly associated with it, you see?

This one in itself deserves a whole post...

Trade 36. I finally got the house run in CADJPY I had been waiting for. It cost me 6 weeks of watching the ups and the downs until I finally reached my goal. The patience has paid and well paid with a total of 208 pips or $170.15, 41.7% that's the ideal trade till today bringing my balance to a new high.

So it seems like I am finishing the month with 2 home runs in both pairs I exchange for whatever else can I ask? To boost my gains because CADJPY and EURUSD are creating new highs at the time of writing? So yes, I am exiting my trades too early, at least these two specifically but at some point in time, when I reach my goals I must take my profits, I believe this helps to keep the greed in check and anyway, there'll be another day, another week, and most significant, yet another tendency...

Trade 37. Home operate in EURUSD to get a total of 124 pips ($74.34) in a trade which lasted 4 times.
