Thread: Developing a system - LIVE experiment )

I'm not certain why I follow your diary with interest, but I really do. 1 thing I have noticed is that you trade against the trend or you trade late daily. Both of these are tough techniques. If you think that the USDJPY is going down that is alright. I have no idea and don't participate in predictions like this. The fact is that it has been going down all day. Always drink upstream of the herd, don't wait until all cows has releived themselves to leap in on a fad. You are 100 pips on the other side of the game.

P.S. Can you fix the spelling of Portland? I have kept silent for 3 times but can not take it anymore!

Oh, sorry but out of your previous thread you said that you were testing out a method fom an ebook, so I though that it was still the exact same system which you where testing out since you said that you moved the thread.

Ok, let's strive to not just give criticism, but also something to proceed with. .

Trading with the trend. . Good idea. But which trend? Is there a trend, or is it just that range. . ?

One thing is apparent. To look for a trend, you visit the higher time-frames.
From there many ways can be obtained: what is the price doing, how will be the slope of this macd, have certain MA's crossed, what kind of divergence. .
Look out for yourself with what you're most comfortable. .

So far for the direction. . Second, when to enter/exit. . ?
Perhaps it is possible to start on learning on how best to spot reversals. . Then, when it becomes apparent that the reversal has taken off, enter in the path of this trend, set your SL directly over the reversal point, and then base your exit point on f.i. fibo-levels or preceding res/sup levels.

Reversal spotting takes some time to grasp, but f.i. candle configurations can assist, or again also fibo-levels, etcetera. .

Ok, maybe you knew allready that the most of it, just a refresher than. .
    In any case,

    happy trading.

(and remember: in se, trading is a boring thing, therefore get your actual excitement somewhere else or you're bound to loose)

First off congrats to your account, I am new just like I and you believe you really need to listen to some of what these people are saying, first thing u need to do is actually get a system, there are many out there just look in the general discution section and you will see hundreds, follow one and listen to the people like philmcgrew, Dialist, James16 and many others who are giving you honest information that's to your best intrest. And possibly after using these egies for a while you will notice some kind of pattern which will match in a method you produce, anyways good luck

Your next lesson might be that you should not trade lots on a little account. Despite this, I wish you the best.
