Firstly a proposal, as you're moving your sl often in the inital stages, have you ever had a look at the managetp EA. The version 3.1 has very some decent attributes, and you'll be able to allow it to be close partial lots, move the sl once in a certain number of pips profit . Not sure if you have had a look at this, but it possibly worth experimenting.

Second, so I think I know the machine, could the 4th or even 5th bar from the red dot not be an entry point too? When it is, then is there a reason you did not take it (apart from the fact you could have been too busy enjoying your sandwich!!)

Yup technically I would have entered brief. Except I was too busy producing screenshots, copying, pasting, uploading, replying pms, posting in the forum LOL -- and YES eating my sandwich also.

However, because you can see my second trade, that time I had been a bit too quick. I'll calculate the pip reduction and report back in a sec.

Thanks to the EA, yes I'd see it and'm interested but unfortunately for me (and you too) there's only 24 hours at the DAY!!! (I'll get to it shortly though, thanks again)

In my backtesting, that does not happen often (alert cross that inverse after a few candles). Extremely rare.

However, it did this time, therefore that's life.

I'm down 16 pips ( spread) on two regular lots, which comes out to -276.56

That is ok. It's part of the machine. Others have suffered greater losses! (so have I).

Can I attribute this to not having set a proper SL, not having waited for confirmation by the two other indiors, or to how this really is Sunday? (or even none of the above, it is only bad luck?? lol) Time will tell.

Now, back to the charts (and of course the price is back up, of course, of course)

Realise you're busy busy with journaling and trading. Have attached the managetp here. After you use it for your very first time, just configure your preferences, and then save them. Next time all u have to do is open that record and ur pre-set settings are done, you don't have to enter them again.

Another thing, you may have skipped theforexforum.co.zacalender for now. I've discovered it to be very very useful when to remain out. There is jpy news about now, so could be the reason behind the whipsaw!!

Not too bad. Not bad at all. We have cleared breakeven (eventually ). Today I want to think about the SL (we're at 233.56 that is 16 pips out of entry or in my situation (spread etc) 103.62$.

I can pocket that .... ok ok . All indiors are still in sync. It's not necessary to liquidate.

The first start off deposit was 3000. The first week that it closed the week at around 3,500. That week that I posted my final chart(before December 15) I had been up as much as 3,800. Closed profit. Then the losses started piling in and introduced the account back to about 3500.

Something that may cause difference in amounts is that on the Fridays I close all open positions therefore nothing is left open across the weekend. Thank you and have a great holiday.

Hallo Adam!

First of all of the achievement is quite outstanding for two weeks and then the trend is generally not broken on longer timeframes throughout the weekend, therefore staying should not actually harm in the long run. Last weeks however there were just 2 really good days and also a lot of sideways motion, so this was quite outstanding and typical to get a pre-holiday week.
Amazing times and merry christmas to you and the girls in the home!
