    I've got a journal here on forexforum.co.za:

    https://www.forexforum.co.za/trading...nal-245-a.html

please read the first page of this Journal ribbon to get knowledgeable about the method before posting here.

Due to the success of this method and the way I have been trading reside on the ShakesFX diary, I have created this extra thread in the systems section so traders could come together to explore this process in more detail.

It's an open thread specializing in the ShakesFX method, all are welcome.

I'm new to scalping but've been following Shakes diary for 1 week now. I'm excited about trading the same style that he does. I really do have a question though, for a single trading onto a micro lot ($100), does anybody have a proposed MM program (how much per pip, lot size, risk per place )? As it is scalping and I'm starting with a tiny amount, I'm willing to risk anywhere from 2-5percent each trade and I will be trading e/u to start with.

I believe you ought to do it like shake said, demo it till you become bored. Then start with very tiny amounts until you mastered it to stay profitable, then a bit more amount and so forth.

I believe, the hardest part is the practice of your self. For me the hardest is to demo-ing till I reached the amount of constant profits that gave me confidence, then I will change to real money accounts. Where this will be I do not know at the moment.

Risk appetite, I believe it's a question which can't be answered, answer it yourself. I.e. make 250-500 roundturns and await the biggest consective drawdown, I mean which was your biggest loosing run, if you will have one. You then can easy decide exactly what you wish to do.

I.e. if you have a loosing lineup of lets say 3 in a row, then at 2% risk your total loss is equal to 6% and at 5% it's 15%

% Loss intial funding |% profit required to Recover
    5-----------------------------5.3
    10---------------------------11.1
    15---------------------------17.6
    20---------------------------25
    25---------------------------33.3
    30---------------------------42.9
    35---------------------------53.8
    40---------------------------66.7
    45---------------------------81.8
    50---------------------------100
    55---------------------------122
    60---------------------------150
    65---------------------------186
    70---------------------------233
    75---------------------------300
    80---------------------------400
    85---------------------------567
    90---------------------------900

regarding to sizes, as soon as you've found your niche of risk in the above mentioned, you can do the following.

Afford the amount you are familiar with to risk at a trade. Divide this number by 2, as you have two rankings, then you have an amount which you split with the hardstop of 15 pips (EY) along with your disperse. This will provide you a small number, like you mentioned you are on micro. I believe it's going to be someplace between 1-6 Microlots or something each position.

    In numbers:

    A/C Size 1,000 USD
    Risk 2 percent
    Risk in $20 USD

    20usd/ two = 10USD
    10USD/18 pips = 5 microlots

hope this helps, and hope you know my crappy english
