Thread: The Best Pivot Points Indior Ever

I might never know really why do you want borders on pivots, just I believed it is the taste of a look, however now actually I paid attention at Wayne's pivots and that I realized (Eureka moment), which borders actually means past/closed days and current day isn't boxed, what makes great sense.

Of course, it is your pivots and you also do how you want, but just wanted to share with you this penetration and whether or not it makes sense to you too, perhaps you wanna perform exactly the same? Put borders not on everything but just on previous days? It is extended by and ? today it is from S2 to R2. Merely to make a complete complete close of a day?

Again, it is just a suggestion.

okay, I fixed all my requests by myself (MQL4 is easier than I thought )
I have attached mod version:
1. I changed all configurations to my defaults (to earn attachment faster). I attached my template, you can check how all looks (just if you have will).
2. Fibs changed.
3. I fixed borders (extended from S3 to R3)
4. Border is drawn (box is shut) just when day is completed, current day box is open, future also.
5. Did GMT change but then removed, coz I realized that it requires broker's actual time and it does not matter which GMT is my own period, the main which GMT zone I'm trading in, therefore abandoned as it is.
6. I had been thinking maybe to make profiles (it will compute pivots for trading sessions only (not for the entire day). It's merely an idea.
7. I found a big bug (but it is nothing related to programming, I guess), Monthly pivots are super buggy. Go through time frames and switch to MN pivots, you will understand that quite frequently there are overlaps and gaps. There's a gap between march and april , same 2014 august and september or lets say february overlaps, one evening is simply skipped/overlapped. For me personally it does not really impact anything (I utilize weekly anyways), but if someone must use monthly pivots as well as for his egy day open/close price will likely be vital, then it won't do the job for him at all as this information is awakened. I spend a few hours trying to fix it, I thought there's something related to leap day and had different concepts in my head, but nothing else worked. So I'm a bit rusty with programming I didn't plan anything for five years. At the moment I don't have any idea why it is that and how to fix it. Perhaps a monthly pivot can be inserted, just a line for someone who needs it? I dun if it is a solution.

PS. Oh, I always wanted to ask, what does this ... (dot dot dot dot dot) at the beginning of fibots means? Fibot line is solid, but at the beginning of each line there's ... what does it stand for? I couldn't work out the meaning of it.

Guys, can we have fibo extensions (127.2, 138.2 161.8 in both directions) added to the wonderful many in 1 tool?

I could do it in the future. And I have opted to add fibo PP for this indior (at the moment it's normal, so called, trading flooring PP), because today I was playing around and discovered PP matched FPP, R2 matches FR3 (fibo S/R is placed in between) and I watch price bouncing of one of these lines, if it disturbs R it certainly reacts to FR, if it disturbs FR it certainly has influence on R. it just proves that most of the individuals are using PP or FPP for their trading and prices respects both of them (it's especially very good by putting zones, simply drawing a rectangle between FR2 and R3 enables say, something certainly happens over there). Need more research.

And I Want to add monthly PP only or using S1/R1 and thats it, coz there are way too many traces, using so many traces any trading will makes sense and some price will bounce off some line anyways LoL

Erik, nice job on the mod. I noticed something was not quite right about the monthly. Could be good if you/someone could find a fix for this.

I wished to thank you for the fantastic pivot point indior which you provided the connection at Wayne's seminar this morning.

I'm wondering if you could post a good indior which shows distinct trading sessions i.e. vertical line revealing London open.

I've searched the net and mql5.com and can't find a good one.
