Thread: Ramadas Dragon Framework journal

  1. #1
I'd love to start a journal to see how my plan will go and examine my ideas . Even it will help someone, which is great.

OK, so I am in Forex for two years. Tried systems but discovered I am indecisive and cannot adhere to this plan/system. I figured out I will use automatic technical trading based on exceptional frame by Mr. Popov. Forex Strategy Builder and Trader - freeware.

So while I examine Dragon approach I do it participating in weekly Instaforex Contest in which I can win some cash to open live account. It will not be easy since there are over 1000 people weekly.

Dragon Approach is that I create egies/systems in Forex Strategy Builder. I use egies/systems which have great effects in back test and are extremely busy (we have only 1 week) and use couple of them simultaneously. Strategies are traded automatically in MT4 by Forex Strategy Trader.

When a few of egies will not bring effects I cut them off and place others I generated, which has good back testing outcomes.

So for this week I am preparing 8 egies using 4 currency pairs: EURUSD, GBPJPY, EURJPY, GBPUSD about 5 minutes.

Each of them will be trading in once from the start of Australia time on Monday.

Some good egies from preceding week:

OK, so it seems my egies opened the position and because of the stop loss and take profit they are still in the rankings for day. This is not good for contest that is quick. Perhaps it'll be helpful, if the contest would be 1 month.

So that I might need to cut these off and save them to get long term trading.

I will add some other egies I created with sl 50 and tp 70 and see how they are going to do the job.

Strategies from 5 to 8 use broken indior (wrongly coded), so I must cut them off too.

As you see I'm back to 0 after drawdown. Some egies worked well and some wasted money earned by good ones. Now I need to delete ones and include some more great ones.

    As Mr. Edison said:
I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that will not work.

Since competition demand 5 lots maximum and I have 4 egies. I will put 0.5 lot as a standard unit of commerce within this week.

This week was good and bad.

Great because two egies have been almost 100% correct.

Poor because I was traveling and could not optimize them along with my laptop in the home with MT4 and Forex Strategy Trader turned away. I can't start it unfortunately - it does not have Wake on LAN work.

I believe now is the time to get VPS.

I am back in the holidays and back to make some profitable framework.

I chose to quit running one week contests, since it requires a lot of time to setup every week - enrollment, establishing the robots, preparing the monitoring sites and so forth.

So from that week I am just going to run demo on Instaforex feed.

When the egy will be faulty on the live demo then I shall replace it. I exchanged egy 120 using 220, since 120 simply made a lot of stop losses.

I am still using 0.5 lots or 1 lots with greatest 2 lots as in contest, because ultimately I want to win this contest if I find nice set of egies.

    How different egies work collectively:

Myfxbook have some problems - this week background is gone and they try to bring back it

It looks it is better not to trade on Friday... I lost all of my profit on Friday... Live and learn...

    Additionally they confirm it

I will add 3 x 1minute egies to the pool and see how it goes. 5 minute egies are available so or for day - that I need egy which will go in and out of position.

Fortunately all background was in MT4 and I uploaded it to another online service:

10% monthly is not bad in any way.

I paused one egy (ID 320) since it brings bad outcomes.

    Lineup for now:

    2. 464--sl135-eurjpy-5-jakala-077-18372.xml id 320 paused - consistently bad transactions
