Thread: Medium and Long Term ONLY

  1. #1
    Welcome to the MEDIUMLONG TERM thread!

    In this very first page I am putting everything for the new reader, and it will be upgraded if needed.

    Definition of medium long term:
    It basically suggests that a transaction is intended on slower timeframes such as weekly-monthly-quarterly etc.. Then implemented on intra-week basis and eventually becoming a multi weeks trade in some exceptional cases where a tendency gains power.

    Thread rules:
    1. No scalping permitted;
    2. If any doubt, read again rule n.1;
    3. Any instrument permitted: FX, equities, indices, bonds, options etc.. The longer the better;
    4. There are no assurance limitations, but if someone comes here just for kidding others, trolling or offending, he/she will be invited to leave! . . .invited...
    5. When reasoning a transaction, please don't overlook the SL and TP rules;
    6. In previous rule I did not write SL and TP orders;
    7. Telegraphic posts like buy GU 1. Xxxx tp Y sl Z aren't permitted and might be removed;
    8. Everybody uses a different egy and there's not a perfect person, and we are here for a reason: Learn! ;
    9. Contemplating and analyzing fundamentals is welcome;
    10. Contemplating and analyzing fundamentals is not ben bernanke is a liar! ;
    11. In precisely the exact same tool some people are long, some are brief: only your account decides if you're right or not because market is infinite, your account is not;
    12. If you don't understand previous rule here's a summary: don't waste your or my time trying to convince me or anyone else that you're right!

    For the moment I guess it's enough, but feel free to ask or suggest anything You Prefer

    Nice move and 1670 behaving as a fantastic service area. All amounts are legitimate on the preceding chart. Wait around for a set up. I don't have any position in indexes right now .

    Howdy - didn't understand about this thread thought I'd stop by, since I trade longer tf's sometimes. Mostly I exchange options from IRA accounts. I really don't trade fx much anymore (anyway I can't trade leveraged spot fx in the IRA's since they're setup) but I figured eur/usd would fall through Jackson Hole and get to lt;$1.25 this year. It has dropped. I just bought calls EUO back around the first of Sept. when E/U was $1.31 or so, as I recall. Paid $0.18, was really looking to shut those at $0.75 m/l, nearly got it now.

For now I am wondering just how much the EUR CHF will maintain stable between 1.20 and 1.22: might be one year or one month! image
    Ooops! I missed your post. Luckily the typical suspects kept the thread alive. Welcome back and let us see what thoughts you have.

    My thoughts exactly.

    Please refer to the chart, I uses H4 and generally a trade takes a couple of weeks.

    Recently you can observe the price is going upwards and the trendline can demone a long opportunity.
