    Dear all traders
I was just wondering, how the traders on this forum or other, are we employable as a trader?
If yes who will apply traders like us.

I have started at home, then got hired for a prop trader for one company to exchange stocks. Then got hired by another company to exchange currencies, and a proprietary trader. After things didn't go well at the last company, I stopped and traded at home for a while. Now I'm at one of the major banks here in Canada at a brokerage backoffice (obtained Id have connections to get into front office, even with experience). But I can inform you, that banks do need technical analysts to analyze the charts. And I'm taking a look at their analysis from time to time - they're exactly as what we see on these forums. I really could do a better job analyzing the charts, but unfortunately, you gotta know individuals to become in.

    It's all about media.

However, if you'd like your trading experience to be official, go work for a proprietary trading firm, they employ everyone. Otherwise, it won't look good on you restart saying that you traded out of house.

Be employable... by any firm. Any job which will pay the bills and pays well will do.
You will require a job to cover your trading losses.
Should you get hired as a trader, you will make much, much more than the usual trade-at-home trader - OPM will make you rich. - (along with the fact that it is a REAL job)

The reason why we want to be workers if we can exchange far better?

Normally employ traders are with great trading knowledge and eduional background. Most likely they're bad in private trading due to emotional matters, etc..

You guys are amazing, you're rather not used by goldman sachs and think people who handle OPM have plogical issues.

I figure you guys do not know how much the good traders make when they handle other people's cash - from millions to billions.

I take that anytime over doing it just by myself.

But yeah, they will not use random men and women using forexforum.co.za. They either employ mathematicians and programmers to become quants, or they use people who know how to perform fundamental analysis. Technical analysis alone (which 99% of the threads in this forum discuss ) is not very favored by the big boys. Thus, either study maths or accounting / economics.

I absolutely agree in this statement. Trader as a fan of his occupation gets the skill to work very difficult, because he does it for himself. He puts into this work his soul.

    telltale assumption
you are able to produce a lot lot more money working for a company rather than as a private trader.
