Is 1min. Anything less than 1min is called a tick chart, which will show you tick by tick the price change.

Not correct. . Yu can have a candle chart at any interval you desire if you write your own software, it is only a case of whether it is purposeful at this short interval. At 5 minutes, even when the mkt is severely volatile, you are not going to extract anything meaningful out of candles. Stick with appropriate tick charts. On my platform aroudn major news eur$ quotes and volume will update around 30 times a second

Thank You for the chart! I am with Oanda and they supply 5, 10, 30 second candlestick charts. I always make a screenshot of the 5 and 10 second price action at news releases. I just overslept that the UK current account, GDP trade.

Are you stating Oanda's tick charts aren't as reliable?

No and yes. Ultimately, you are not investing in the wholesale place fx market, you're trading oanda's. If you're trading with oanda, by all means use their charts, they are following all the market you'll be trading. But to get a better idea of what the actual market is doing, you really need to get a proper feed

If you are trading news.... You cant get better than a tick chart to really get an idea of this action. This is a feed from cnx and the spreads are broad because of the thin mkts aroudn this time of year

Yes I have Reuters. I only thought you were stating Oanda's charts are crappy. Of course, I have to agreethat nothing beats a proper feed.
