Thread: Pivot point trading?

3 Attachment(s) I know that this is an old thread, but as a new member I can't open a new thread, and all my trading relies on pivots.

I utilize mt4 for charting but not trading.

All I have in my charts is daily pivots, weekly, and round amounts. The pivots are places I exchange out of, and also the round numbers are places that I look at for exits, or as trouble loions.

I always look at the daily charts.

Trades are based on the 4hr tf, sometimes I drop to the 1hr to search for an entry.

Twenty pips is only about always my initial goal, with just one or 2 more rankings let running for a while.

Here are the 3 trades I took on Friday. Even though the trades shown here (on mt4) are still available, in my live acc they are all shut, in profit.

3 Attachment(s) Wednesday transactions up to now. Check out 7pm candle for more transactions.

EJ straight back to entry price, caused a little concern, almost hit the stop.

EU first goal reached, third and second transactions still open, same for AU.

I dont usually trade this early in the Asian session. EU and EJ transactions were opened only after Asian session started, but I had been on the pc and the set ups seemed OK, although as I stated EJ was a bit of a worry.

I haven't talked about the entries, I think nearly all of them a clear. The ej trade above looks a bit suspicious since the trade turned out to both daily and weekly pivots, and really was a little ( not a lot ) of a stress, but I thought there was a enough room to make 20 pips. Trade nevertheless open at without 5 pips.

I won't be posting in this thread some more. I've started my own thread in the diary section, called Journal.

Hmm ok... to make the story short, the three main pivot points are R1, S1 and the actual pivot point.
The overall idea behind investing pivot points is to look for a reversal or break of R1 or S1. From the time the market reaches R2,R3 or S2,S3 the market may be overbought or oversold and these levels may be used for exits.
