Thread: Diary of a trader without emotions (or that I try)

After years of taking a swing, I decided that this will be my definitive diary. I have set out to operate without emotions, like a machine, with clear rules and cold execution. It is not easy, but I have been strictly applying risk management and a strategy based on breakups and reversals for two weeks in green. Here I will share inputs, outputs, errors, successes and, above all, real thoughts.

Today I took two operations in EURUSD. The first, a fake break that cost me -12 pips. The second, a reversal from a high liquidity zone that left me +37. I ended up positive, but I still find it hard not to overoperate when I see "action." I am training my patience, but it costs me.

I'm surprised how most here still believe that the "perfect setup" exists. Spoiler: It doesn't exist. Everything comes down to impeccable execution with solid risk management. If you wait for the graph to yell at you "buy", it's already late.

Difficult day. I skipped two stops for 0.5 pips before reversing in my direction. Painful? Yes. Avoidable? No. Learning: trusting in the process, not the individual result.

I don't understand how some are still surprised by the drawdown. It's part of the game! If you can't bear to lose 3-4% monthly, you should be playing chess, not trading.

AUDJPY was my biggest hit this week. Pullback entry + fibo confluence 61.8 + decreasing volume = +62 pips. Almost textbook. Im starting to see that when everything aligns, the market rewards you.

I dont know if its me, but lately I notice that when I stop force trades, the market seems to give me cleaner opportunities. Maybe its just that my mind is calmer. Mindset is everything.

I didn't operate today. I saw three possible setups, but none of them met my full criteria. I'm glad I didn't get in because of anxiety. That wasn't happening before. Discipline 1, ego 0.

I have received several messages saying that I am very rigid. I prefer that to be ruined by wanting to be creative with money. Beautiful emotions dont pay the bills.

I'm testing a variation in my strategy: include context of the previous session. Today I used the Asian rank as a reference for an entry into NY and it worked very well. It's not magic, it's observation.
