Thread: Is anyone else sick of sliding with IC Markets?

Lately the landslides with IC Markets are driving me crazy. I already put a limited order and run it 2 or up to 3 pips below. Im operating with moderate batches (2-3

The same thing happened to me this week with the NFP. I had a well placed order and I was executed almost 3.5 pips below. The worst thing is that it just touched my SL and bounced. Its no coincidence. Im considering moving to Pepperstone. At least there you know the spread is inflated, but the execution is cleaner. IC Markets is getting cloudy...

Are they really crying for 2 pips? What did they expect operating news in an ECN? Miracles? Use demo accounts if they dont know how to handle risk in high volatility. This is real trading, not Disney. IC Markets isnt perfect, but spreads are still one of the best. If you dont know how to deal with slips, maybe you should switch hobby.

I have been with IC Markets since 2020 and never had problems like that. I do avoid operating during heavy fundamentals. Why risk so much in such volatile moments? Set realistic goals. Anyway, I recommend you document each case and open ticket with support. Sometimes you get reimbursed if it is a clearly anomalous execution.

So I sent a ticket and they answered me with the typical copy-paste of market conditions. They didnt investigate anything, they didnt verify anything. And when I insisted, total silence. Very disappointed. Before I recommended them with my eyes closed. Now... I have my doubts. At least they could be more transparent with their liquidity.

Now, if anyone thinks IC Markets doesn't shake hands when it suits them... welcome to the real world. They're a STP/ECN broker, yes, but that doesn't mean they don't have conflicts of interest.

I have had good and bad times with them. But if there is one thing that did improve it was customer service. The last times I opened tickets they answered me in less than 12 hours and gave me clear explanations. Maybe they are not the perfect broker, but at least they are not ghosts like others that do not have licenses.

Actually, I am surprised to read so many complaints. I have been with them for 2 years and not a serious problem. I use VPS in London and run with EA. All clean. I smell more of network problems or bad user-side settings. Before blaming the broker, check your connection, order type, and if you are using MT4 or cTrader. There are many variables that influence.

And what about the clippage on cTrader? Im considering migrating from MT4 because I read that execution is more direct. If someone has real experience, it would help me to know. Im also interested to know if theres a difference with the Raw account in that respect.

I operate on cTrader and I do notice that the slippage is smaller. In addition, it shows you total transparency: requested price, executed price, run time. MT4 is a black box compared to that. Yes, if you come from using many MT4 indicators, get ready: not everything is available in cTrader, but if you prioritize execution, it is worth it.
