I am trying to find ticks and 5mins historical charts for specific time periods. Does onyone has any idea where to get two years old tick charts?
For some reason I wasn't able to edit my last post:
You can get 1 minute information for metatrader at:

You want the MT4 Format Data.
I do not know when this is the simplest way to do it but it worked for me.
1) unzip the file you download
2) In metatrader click - Toolsgt;History Center
3) Keep Double Clicking on the Directory Tree from the left window until you find the pair you downloaded the information for, make sure you double click on the line that reads 1 moment (M1).
4) Press the Import button, proceed loe [Browse] that unziped information file and Import it.
5) Once thar then go to - Toolsgt;Alternatives - Charts tab
6) Crank up the Maximum Bars in History number, you can manually add a couple of zeros to that amount if you want.
6b) Crank up the Max Bars in Chart. It is possible to manually add zeros to the drop down box numbers if needed.
7) Close metatrader down, then reopen it , with any luck you should be able to return in time to where you want, if not then go to step 6b) back again.
The larger Max Bars in Chart number is the slower metatrader and your system appears to operate while your are viewing the 1 minute charts, especially in the event that you apply the cross hair and have 4 or 3 1 minute charts open.... So once I've done my spine checking I end the Max Bars in Chart down again.

Chucuoi you'll only see it at the time frame you downloaded the data for, that website I listed to find the history data from just has 1 minute or 1 day history.Quote:

The larger Maximum Bars in Background number is your slower metatrader along with your system seems to run while your are seeing the 1 second charts, particularly if you use the cross hair and also have 3 or 4 1 minute charts available.... So once I have done my spine assessing I wind the Maximum Bars in History number back again.
