CMC Markets

Trading platform used to be quite great ( still not comparable to MT4) until about 4 weeks back, when they updated their appliions. Now it's a piece of crap. Loads very slowly, virtually no indiors accessible anymore, no own indiors programmable and the entire thing just makes your eyes hurt a lot of straightforward function that don't work anymore. Just download their presentation. Intraday trading is not the ideal thing to do with them. . However, I suppose you have a lot of brokers that execute overly slow during busy times. End of day trading functioned perfectly alright for me . . But I switched brokers due to their absolutely non-recommendable trading platform.... Within their inner forum folks are whining ever since the upgrade of this software

I guess you're discussing their charting. I never used that anyway so I wasn't bothered about the change. I utilize MT4 for charting and CMC for orders. Their software doesn't have a lot of attributes but is rock solid reliable in my experience. I have never had an outage in all of the years I have been using them.

Order entry is really excellent. It's possible to set default position sizes for each pair, so it's only a single click to buy or sell in the market. I have seen no issues with execution no widening of spreads. You get re-quotes in fast markets that's preferable to spread widening. Re-quotes can work in your favor, whereas spread expanding constantly costs you money.

The only major issue is the absence of a centered OCO order. This pretty much rules out using pending orders. This is a major drawback, but I am sticking with CMC anyway for the excellent reliability and execution I have experienced up to now.

. . Yep if you merely want to exchange currencies I figure you can use MT4 for charting nevertheless trading with CMC.

What is a good term about CMC?

CMC have got really bad, their platform stinks, spreads are all around the place, slippage with no requotes, price freezes.

I saw a banner ad of CMC Markets UK at trade2win. I analyzed their web platform and its seems to be great and very handy. Spreads can also be tight, lots CFDs as well.)))
Can anybody post here feedback on these? Please, only people who trade or traded with CMC Markets.)))

I've utilize their demo and will open an account shortly.

The trading requirements in CMC concerning the new Next Generation platform are the best. No other Broker will beat the requirements CMC offers.

Exactly, a bunch of crooks. .

That was on the platform. On the new platform they got a new execution system that's fully automatic.

Here is what they say: It is a $100 million new platform that's completely 100% automated with no dealer tricks.

You can't compare the Functioning of the old platform together with the Next Generation platform.

Seems like a 'conflict of the reps' is happening in the last few articles...

The repetitions (LMAX's Cocoflanel CMC's Trader121) seem to believe the rest of the actual forum members are muppets. They must have fallen out of the tree and hit every branch on the way down. Both have wisdom rivalled only by garden tools.

Rep? LOL. I do not even got an account. I had only 5 years ago but shut it because I've lost a lot of cash there.

Nevertheless you can't compare a classic platform with a new 100 Million platform. That has not anything to do with Rep, it is just logic. I am convinced that Cocoflanel isn't a rep either.

CMC markets currently have this order implementation policy for FX CFDS Limit Orders for FX goods, if accepted, will only be implemented at the Target Price. Meaning when monday morning(Australia available), if there's a gap up/gap down above/below your limit, your order will be implemented at the target price, even when it strikes upward 100 pips. Is this legal or fair?

Seems fantastic! However well risk is handled, There is always a possibility of some geo political event blowing the spread out 200 pips or longer. It occurred at 911 and the Jap tsunami. Eliminating that risk is greater than fair for traders and as a market maker they can lawfully trade with you at any price they like. You agree to this when you sign up

I dont think you understand. Your stops will nevertheless be executed at the prevailing market price on the open. You are at risk. Its only the limit/target price - if the difference is in your favor - that you'll be full at your target price. NFA would wipe the floor with them, but apparently the british are far more understanding.

Is cmcmarkets a market maker or agency version?

Are they satisfactory?

I only noticed today that CMC Markets has been IIROC regulated in Canada. I really don't remember them being officially regulated by these last time I checked. Maybe I need to give them a try... Might be better compared to OANDA and FXCM here.

Does anyone trading with them have some insight into just how good a broker they are? Particularly in regards to prevent hunting...
