To explain what I am searching for exactly is something such as

In the event the Highest High Value of the past x pubs minus the Lowest Low Value of the past x pubs is less than Y, then draw a star over last bar.

I Believe I can code it in Amibroker and Metastock but maybe not Metatrader

Thank you for your post however, a master candle is not what I am looking for.

I am looking for an indior that will highlight a set of candles/bars at which the price has ranged for x min within y pips. Based upon the time period of this chart these xy values need to be variable. A variable coloured box would signify I might have the indi on a chart more than once searching for set ups that are additional.

I've noticed that quite often there is a nice move after this happens.

I believe there's an indior called Master Candle that does. It loes a number of candles engulfed by the candle, a ranging market. I will try find it, or do a search, It May be here on FF

I'm wondering if anyone has an indior that draws a box about x pubs with a maximum range of y.

lets say we're on a 1m chart and we set it for 5 pubs with a high/low range of 5 (or 50) pips it subsequently pulls a box round the five pubs that have transferred a total of less than 5 pips. The high of the 5 bars is included five pips of their low.

I am looking to highlight a ranging market so I guess an alarm would be fine, but I could live without one.
