What is a Forex Broker / Forex Introducing Broker?
🔹 What is a Forex Broker?
A forex broker is the company/platform that connects retail traders (like you) to the global forex market.
You place orders through their trading software (like MT4 or MT5), and they handle the execution.
They typically provide:
MT4 or MT5 trading accounts
Access to forex, gold, indices, and other markets
Deposit/withdrawal channels
Customer support, trading tools, and sometimes EAs or education
📌 In simple terms: If you want to trade forex, you must open an account with a broker.
🔸 What is a Forex Introducing Broker (IB)?
An IB is a person or group that refers clients to a broker.
In return, the broker pays the IB a commission (rebate) based on the client's trading activity.
They usually offer:
Help with account registration and deposits
Basic guidance on using platforms like MT4
Sharing strategies, tools, or educational resources
They earn from spreads or commissions on your trades
📌 Important: IBs do not control your funds or provide trading platforms — they just refer and support.
✅ In short:
Broker = Provides the trading platform and handles the trades
IB = Refers traders to brokers and earns rebates
