Yeah I see what you mean. However, I feel great I will keep them. These tools change and always evolve, for the wishful thinking*. As for today I really don't see this.

As for COT, I follow 6months and 3 years COT index. It does unlike potential corrections and these the weekly position changes.

For the more time positions I utilize 1H TF with 200 EMA and London open (LO) price levels. When price is above 200 EMA and price moves above LO, and now's LO is above yesterday LO then I proceed long after 1 hour bearish candle (given on the entry day we've got news hefty day). Then if price goes against me, I will average down (yes, ) until price goes beneath 200 EMA and two times in a row LO is below 200 EMA. In addition, I have 2xATR (5 D) SL only in case.

For ultra brief time trading I try to exploit traders emotions and algos mechanical manner of managing trades (basically, I move contrary direction after sudden price movement) with exceptionally tight SL and PT at 5x bigger (say if EU SL 3 pips, then PT is 15 pips).
