Movements of 700/1000 pips in a couple of hours or even minutes are becoming more and more comon.
It's ´s impossible to have great profit when avoiding these moments. The only way would be to have the luck to be outside of this market when these Swans decide to fly.
How can you guys do it?

Black swans occasions are uncorelated with time of this week.
And most of black swans are in the direction of long-term trend, so is not a bad thing for trend traders

when a trading system/set of rules, edges/tricks and currency management are strong its not as porbable that somebody will go broke from a swan.
You realy need to check your system in strange times and market circumstances, if the machine pass abbnormal occasions then its robust.

Would you say White Swans often generally maintain the direction of their long term trend too? By long term trend, which timeframe are you referring to?

I don't understand wath a white swan is in financial markets
by Long-term trend I'm referring to daily charts or over daily
and even on daily charts most of the times for specifying the tendency I use a lenght of minimal 40 days

From what I know, a White Swan has the exact same price behaviour as Dark Swan but its cause is understood by means of a news event whereas a Dark Swan doesn't have a cause according to a known news event.
