The problem with Metatrader is that it is everywhere.Many brokers use it, but they do not always offer the same execution conditions or spreads.That is why I prefer brokers with your own platforms, even if it has been getting used longer.At least I know they are unique and optimized for that particular broker.
I am considering trying a personalized platform.Do you think it is worth it, or is it better to keep something more standard as Metatrader?Sometimes I feel that personalized platforms have more technical problems, but may offer advantages that I do not know.
If you are looking for something custom, ctrader test.It is more modern than Metatrader and has some advanced functions that facilitate the life of trader.I use it with Pepperstone and I am quite happy.Although the initial change can be difficult, then you will not want to go back.

While tight spreads matter, prioritizing a platform that aligns with your strategy and needs enhances overall trading performance and confidence.
I’ve noticed some platforms show tighter spreads during calm markets but widen a lot during news. I prefer ones that keep things steady, even if the spread is slightly higher.
