Thread: Daily Yen Scalping

  1. #1
This is my very first trade journal after a lengthy period on FF. I've learn a lot over the last year and a half and feel like I've finally gotten to a point where it's well worth starting one of these items.

I owe a lot of my latest progress to man, who's unfortunately relegated into the Commercial forum and will not have the ability to post here.

Also this thread might be better labelled intraday yen scalping, as daily could be misleading. I do my analysis on timeframes Dailies/H1/M15/M5/M1 and input on M5/M1/10sec.

Without further ado, here are my trades for the day (complete 20pips):

I also produced some analyses of trades I did not take because I wasn't actively trading at the time:

    Fantastic start in the Journal.

    Thanks Slack.

Here's my first trade of the day, and also my first live trade for a long long time. 1,000 unit sizes in the moment and I am only playing to ease myself back into putting money. So that equate to a risk of about $1. Stakes, I understand.

But I made 9 pips off this entry. As there had been a long uptrend over the past few hours I was a little cautious.

Looks like a ideal entrance and exit to me... nice job. Wish my final transaction was that pretty.

BTW, what's your SL; mended or ?

    Thank You Slack!

My SL is 10 pips spread, according to man's rules. I watch the trade ready to shut at the very first sign of trouble. I believe that's essential when playing an pair like GBPJPY.

Right-on! I do the identical thing; ready to exit should momentum very slow down.

Another trade. Not overly pleased with this one, but bagged 8.5 pips yet. Part of me wanted me to lose this trade so that I would learn a lesson. Hopefully I'll remember not to jump in too fast next time!

    Another scalp... 7.9 pips woo!

I feel as though I'm overly cautious. The transaction blew out to 27 pips only 4 minutes once I exited. ARGH.

Notice: Entry is perpendicular red line, exit is reddish X.

Trading day finish at 25.4 pips.

    No reduction.

    off to my night-shift
