I recently read someplace about hwo they train race car drivers. One of the lesson that they teach them would be to focus on the street. You see when you begin spinning out of control....the trainer trains your eye to focus on the street. . .if u follow ur instinct and try to keep taking a look at the wall. . .guess what, you will crash into the wall! You see, there is one deep reasoning why we do that....because even when steer in the right direction....there is a little bit of lag time between steering right along with the automobile correcting from the spin. We may begin dreading that the wall and crash into it since we dont see the result of our activity right away. Trading is the same manner, after u start trading right...i.e. steer and focus in the right direction. . .there may be couple of months before you really begin seeing the results of your activities. The best way to inspire yourself is crucial.
I am enjoying your ribbon and your thoughts on plogy. I think you are definitely heading down the right street. Keep this up.

I am doing backtesting from 2004 for Bat plan Jan. Within my previous backtests, I have never comprised cash management and account balance. It was always just pips or percentages. However, I realized my confidence to increase, and to include all components of trading, I really need to include money management rules and consideration balance. IF U NEED for backtesting a template I use, pm me and ill

Thank you for your kind words Mr Trend. I am only starting to find some fruits of my hardwork. And it seems good. I hope to be one soon, although I'm not a full time trader yet.

    THE ISSUE OF CORRELATION:

I just thought I woudl share something I learned from a novel. Its the issue of significance. I feel it had been market wizards, and one of the dealer had mentioned that they use computer analysis to determine the correlation between their open positions. If u have 8 trades available and they all are highly connected, then u r basically only trading 1 position with 8 times the danger. There is an excellent case in point using the same egy on usd/chf and gbp/usd. Both of these currency pairs are connected. I read somewhere(sorry I m not good with citing sources) that their significance is somewhere within the assortment of 65-75%. Thats high!!!!

Actually, a lot of pairs throughout the board are in that range... some are at the temptations of 20-50, but overall, you'll see that most pairs have some type of correlation between them.

I personally use this same technique, since I could have as many as eleven or twelve positions available at a time... in essence, I look for correlation of about 90-99% before I'm hesitant about pulling the trigger on 2 pairs concurrently.

Individuals accountable for not being able to update this thread this week. This week, been busy. Next week I will try to post the transactions actual time.

    This week's overview:

Total, this week was great. I am at $5000 account balance now with this egy, exceeding $125 each commerce. Initially I was at $1000 exceeding $25 per commerce, and I decided if I hit $125 of profits(which I did this week) I'll deposit more cash and boost my alloed sum to $5000. I'll still do this for next two levels. Then I won't be depositing any more of my cash. I was doing some detailed money managemetn planning. . .at this speed. . .approx amount 25 is million bucks. I am at level 3 right now. In my past backtesting...I have observed a progress of about 1 amount per month. And it seems like its taking shape in actual life. I started out with $400 as level 1. Level 2 was 1000. .now its level3. Its a little different from what I publisehd. . .but I increased it after doing some more backtesting. Attached are the levels that are updated.

    EXPECT IT!

The most crucial barrier we all traders face is after the machine to the T even once you have losses. When I backtested this egy and I am doing it...I found a few weeks where it basically was sidewards motion in my equity curve. So I expect that to happen in real time. . I will be prepared for it and keep executing trades. Its great to be optimistic, but I have inclination sometime to have unrealistic expectation and receive greedy....but I lower my expectations of this machine from 10 1000 pips trades to what the outcomes were in backtesting.
