Thread: MT4 Problems - Connection Issue

Problem with MT4, continue going down, net is operating well. Together with FXCM, but the people at Live Chat are so dumb and waisting my time.

If anybody encountered this problem with mt4 wondering build 830. Suddenly began crashing whole computer when I try to open mt4. Being on telephone with broker - forex.com. Uninstalled mt4, re-installed in connection they sent , same problem, crashes windows when attemping to open mt4. Have run two different anti virus softwares scanning all documents. No issues. I am suspecting a number of the older mt4 files remain on my hard drive but cannot loe anything.

Or is your current mt4 program compatible with old windows versions --xp pro. Has worked for many years however, has my luck run out?

Mine was the same. Together with pepperstone though. Internet connection seemed fine.

Unusual and annoying

Go onto Youtube and look for how to fix a sluggish MT4. Works absolutely fantastic. As time passes the documents accumulated a lot of material and need to get cleaned up. All of your settings stay the same, just a faster MT4 in the long run.

I started my MT4 platforms tonight from numerous brokers and they're all referencing documents in AppData/Roaming/Metaquotes/Terminal rather than the installed MT4 folder in Program Files. As a result, not one of my own EAs, templates, custom and profiles indiors are accessible from my MT4 platform.
I restarted my PC and tried opening the MT4 platforms straight from the Program Files MT4 folders, but once the platforms had started, they still incorrectly referenced documents in AppData/Roaming/Metaquotes/Terminal.

Does anyone know why this is occurring?
