I was wondering as I here people talking about the amount of pips they brought in 15, 50, 165. I know exactly what a pip is also it comes down to their levarage i.e. 50:1, 200:1 and lot dimensions they trade standarad lot (Lot 1) e.t.c

Im trading with a demo account 50:1 leverage with standard lot 1 and I started using 3,000$

This has ever made me wat 392$ which was around 39.8 pips!

Can it be possible to make about 1200$ a week trading FX, accepting only 40 percent of everything you make a week on your own, then putting 60 percent back in the account to grow ?

With $240,000 - Really possible if you are a very good trader

    With $3,000 - No.

pips imply nothing, just percent growth matters. With 3,000$ it is absolutely not possible to earn 1200per week consistently. You'd have better luck buying lottery tickets and winning the lottery. And since you even have to ask this particular question it means that you're probably completely new to trading. Better question you need to ask at first is how you can become profitable consistently. Do not forget, the best traders in the world only make between 50 to 200% annually consistently (market wizards). And they are the best of the best.

I have been trading for several years.

It's just now that I can make a few profits.
I have made 300% in 1 month, and also its not ridiculous to have the ability to generate a couple of hundred dollars a night easily. And definately 5 percent per month on big accounts and 50% on smaller accounts.

Its largely in your head but also ALOT of SCREEN TIMEgt; becoming accustomed to the market behaviour, identifying trends, patterns, economic landscape and news releases.

Dailyfx is a good website to pay alot of goo live/video analysis to understand how real traders think and execute.

Good fortune, and my best advice is start little.1 lots just for quite a while, then go mad and blow your account several times. That way you learn to be impartial and cautious of overleverage and to control your own emotions.
Additionally, constantly listen to audiobooks on growth, and inspiration, or other topics. It will help transform your paradigm so you can learn to be maleable to life and the markets.

Thank you for all the replys, I know it takes time, I was just wondering what you could acutally make! I am lucky and a stay home Dad, therefore my time to look at charts and be online is 8hrs afternoon, Im starting to learn. I have blown through 2 demos when I first started using semi-robots and robots and then just hoping to trade blindly. So I am learning to exchange! Thank you for the advice.

Always remember MOST traders loose ALL their money, while SOME others don't.

realistically, a few percent per month

like imagine earning 1% per day. . Thats enough to make you a winner within 3 years that your starting capital being $3000

you'll be lucky to produce a dollar as soon as your first start trading. . Really I advise that you put a lot less money into this game. . Your going to blow your initial account. . And if by some magic you pull in profits for a few months then add the rest to your account

Couple of hundred of $'s each day generally on a typical lot is average amount of profit a successful forex trader can make.

You will hit a thousand $'s profit jackpot once in a while more during the hectic season but do not count on it. On a few days, you will earn a loss so on average, few hundred of $'s each day is everything you may count on.

Just how much do people make in FX? Hmmmm...I think it
is dependent upon how large your account will be....the larger the
account, the better chances of profit....

Additionally its own subjective, some traders are happy with
USD$2K a month, many others think its too little....

For my case, I make good profits and its better
    than obtaining a FT job...
