Thread: Funding ideas needed for well performing trader

    Warm greetings traders. -

I have been trading my small account because Feb 1st 2017. These days I'm 3 weeks shy of one year of trading.

My yield is on course to hit 12% for the year according to someforexforum.co.zatrade explorer. MyFxBook says I'm doing much better at about 16% and my fundseeder dash (which only goes back to July 2017) tells me I am more than 50 percent up for the time between July#8217;17 and today. (Please be aware, currently open positions may violate those numbers a bit.)

I don#8217;t know just how a lot of these places calculate their numbers but all of them agree that I'm doing well.

My maximum draw down on the books in addition to my maximum floating draw-down is below 5 percent on all 3 platforms from the time that I began the current egy on Feb 1st 2017.

I'm also working a very demanding full-time occupation as a Sr Linux Engineer caring for production systems in a huge corporation that takes up a lot of my time and is constantly attempting to monopolize whatever time I've left to myself. All the trading performance below my belt for this past 11 months has been while working this endeavor.

I'd really like to trade my way into the sun-set but using an account the size of mine that might take another lifetime that I don#8217;t have.

What are the choices for somebody like me as far as funding is concerned?

I always hear that one must have a minumum of one year#8217;s worth of consistently profitable live performance before anybody will take a chance on you.

Well, here I am; eleven months in and well over 850 live transactions afterwards. What#8217;s another step?

I#8217;Id heard of the prop-trading firms but these sound like a scam over anything. Even though I don't have any experience using them.

What other funding options are out there?

    Thanks for your time.

Yeah, that would be my advice also. Or a similar service. There are a couple of of them. Basically their appliions grades your monitor record and when profitable and low risk, they will provide you money to invest and provide you a percentage of the profit.

You confessed that you're functioning full-time. Can it not be difficult for you to trade other people's money? There is enough stress already trading your fund, which you believe is little. Greater finance is very likely to put more emotional and plogical stress, call it stress, on you personally. Only my view.

I believe you need to deside which you want to do. Trade for a living or maintain. Nobody will finance you or take the risk if they find out you trading part time.

You have to be a shameless self promoter, many of that ilk can increase six figure amounts with no concrete proof of outcomes.

If you're investing in a mini account, I would not trust the outcomes as a possible investor.

Agree on that, you have to be investing in a five figure account at least, or have a much longer track record on a smaller account. I'd check with with this, I have read a number of his articles and think he's locked some prop funds. Cubbybgood had some company that let him exchange their funds, but it was not a fantastic bargain, in short you place in 20%, they place in 80%, but each of the losses are cut out of your percentage, therefore in the long run it was just like overleveraged trading of your capital.

    Thank you for your ideas.

I would love to stop working and trade fulltime. I have responsibilities. Therefore, until my trading profits can support those duties, I'm maintaining the job.

That said, if the proper sized investment arrangement were to come about, I'd have no problem focusing on investing full time. After all, that IS the objective.

There is not any stress in the way that I trade. Well, of course there is but it's minimal. My position dimensions to equity ratio is very comfortable. Additionally, my account is with Oanda. They don't have mini-accounts. Its just 1 account and you get a whole lot more control over your position size than any other broker but I digress.

In any case. I'll keep trading. Let us see what tomorrow brings. -

    Thanks again traders!

There is a broker in which you may present your live account outcome and people may invest as trade copying from your account, you specify a% comission from the profit that they obtain. The broker is instagram/ The Traders Domain

Ill be active, posting? In the future.

    Thank You
