What you believe (understand?) The banks perform in range. .

Such as small size bet 50pip profit
    medium 100-200pips
    and long term 500-1000?

This would be great to know..thanks

When they trade just how many pips are they after?
    I.e a short-term trade in EUR/USD . .for example

They brief at 1.3100 to take profit on 1.3000 is the cheapest range of pips they are hunting. . Or are they scalping 10pips?

I personally can not help you, but there is a ribbon with institutional traders that may be able to answer your question:

Asked a banker buddy. Yours are pretty much on target, though he said they are content with 25 on little and 125 on moderate. Large is 350 and up for him (long term that is).
He explained the numbers used to be higher but obviously people have reigned in their expectations. Also, this really is really a bank in Eastern Europe, so take the numbers with a grain of salt.

BIG BANKS DONOT control the forex market. Understand that and you will trade forex happily ever after. .

No, they don't control the forex market, however ANYONE using zillions to spend and who do controls it. A group of heavy hitters may create a trend every time they want.
