NEWS IS crucial. It is when you have sufficient experience among the most rewarding and profitable ways to trade commodities and FX.

Consider researching a launch, looking at forecasts, positioning accordingly, stacking some decent lots and being DONE or daily Quota fulfilled within an

HOUR or sometimes 10 minutes of real trading. Your day is free and away from the screen.

Yet, from my expertise to do this EFFECTIVELY you pay your dues by -
READING,
Learning,
Testing,
Subsequently LIVE EXECUTION, with Limits and stops placed.

Right now we're winding down the year and quarter. HOWEVER, there are still releases and also the ever existing matter of this US FED tapering off enormous QE THREE,

How is your set up like trading the News, any Strategy use or methodology, whats your risk compare to reward, just how many minute do you search for taking setup prior to the news. Your Knowledge on this is going to be appreciated.

I actually at this stage spend MINIMAL time physically trading,
I really don't use ANY EAs and will probably never.

That I AM ALWAYS UP about the current ECONOMIC CALENDAR.
MY PREP is over the weekend and the prior week,
I read that a S! T load of news,
I look at earlier predictions,
I look at prior health of the market where I might be trading.
I browse and read.

This takes the Moment.

HOURS,

the installation is straightforward, I look to get a fill in a congested area which I will describe later,
I am not affordable,
I am not greedy,
I seem to get filled.

On routine trades my Risk benefit or RR is 1:2 or 1:3.

On NEWS TRADING I want ONE TO FIVE.

Meaning when I risk 1 lot - some size - I expect 5 less the one for entry, so 4 lots profit.
That's my tech system.

So far as news and remarks go I take EVERYTHING I browse with TWO GRAINS OF SALT

I try to just read from resources I trust that have a record of BEING RIGHT.

That I have no time to get remarks from asshole$ because? Every one has one.

The reading I form my own assessment and transaction so.

Occasionally I use my 'gut' instinct.

Otherwise I manage the risk and trade in my own direction.

Managing risk accordingly allows me to fight another day / trade/
if the market have an ADVERSE response to the news. (which is often especially in low volume GOLD)

Trading NEWS blind is like going to an ORGY without any condoms, you have to be ready differently the market may provide you the DIS - EASE of FAILURE.

My area of setup is already intended hours before determined by price action I fix accordingly.

I love 100 pip swings and 50 USD moves on GOLD.

To set up the true trade takes seconds.
