So I automated a trading egy from forexforum.co.za that's apparently traded profitably until this day however I can't appear to make it profitable over the long term in my backtests.

I am searching for a statistician who is can apply techniques such as

    regression coefficient hypothesis testing
    non-parametric t-statistics
    statistical bootstrapping tests
    monte carlo simulations

Within my research these are the best methods that can be applied to raise the statistical achievement of trading systems. I am searching for someone that can use these methods to the automated trading system I wrote (composed in C#).

what sort of statistics you need( correction what sort of model and data are you currently using that will point out the stats required)? Long term most systems aren't capable of keeping up with new variables, also occasionally basic stats are far better than the complex ones as the market is so unpredictable that you wish to know when its out of trend, however you do not really wish to predict exact prices as that would be leading you down a dangerous path.

I'd look at it as a random walk and find a potential spread, like rubble is to oil. If one deviates to far you would anticipate a correction.
