Hello everybody I am interested why people here commerce FX, besides the clear:to make money. That is, there are dozens and dozens of methods to make money in this planet what particulars attracted you to FX.

    I don't mind sharing .

I remember reading about George Soros when I was a youth. Being from Easter Europe that he was very familiar. He set forth sort of creating a 5 year plan of types for himself in regards to trading. I admired he actually had a great deal of forethought to his path.

His savvy using unknown eastern European markets, at least to his fellow traders, gave him a border he brough unknown players to new markets and vice versa. Lots to say for bridge building there.

But what really attracted me FX was Soros being able to cause Black Wednesday aka White Wednesday. He detected a pattern, a pattern that didn't reflect the essence of this market. While he made more than 1 billion that day, something more significant happened imho, he and other speculators made certain that governments must exist in the reality of this market.

That's, whenver a nations politics run out based on the character of the world currency markets they are corrected. In some ways the FX market is an uber check and balance for nations to abide by, the democracy of this market if you will.

Well that was many years ago I developed those thoughts, I moved into real estate, and establish a few unique and very profitable models of my own. For example, I determined (and I am sure others have before me), that in any given market there are only perhaps a few percent of the general market available at any particular time, so, by controlling a very small percent of active listings in a specific market so can one control the prices on the whole market. Very effective model if required advantage of properly.

Well, eventually George, here I am prepared to understand, observe, absorb, and discover many general theories and principles that can be applied and profited from in the FX game.

When I was a young child, my father often said that individuals who had 1 billion yen in bank had been getting compound interest rate (8 million yen/1 year).
And I heard that individuals could live on interest income, I was determined to accomplish deposit...
Items aren't what they used to be.
At this level of interest rates, a deposit of 1 million yen will produce an annual interest of just 100 yen.

Clearly there are normal reasons like entirely uncapped earning potential, Freedom, the ability to see my daughter grow up along with also a standard of living which you can only dream of but.... It moves deeper for me...

I was in a boyband and instead of selling out stadiums etc.. . But that came to an end and I had been really hurt... I didn't understand what I was planning to do with my life since I was so convinced that this was what I was planning to perform plus it was my final passion (Music)

I then had to get a real job and am currently an IT consultant which is good, it pays well and isn't precisely trying.

It not until I found Forex last year which I experienced that burning drive inside to succeed again... The exact same passion I felt for my songs was suddenyl present again in my life... I can honestly say I really like this marketI don't understand why but there's something about the Forex Market that fascinates me and I really just can't get enough of it....

So as well as the cash , it has also given me back something which was missing for so long (PASSION)

It appears from what I have read thus far that we all have alot in common.

    Be your own boss! Check.
Live everywhere. Live in Europe, American, check.

I really liked micardo's response. The passion.

I too love the Offer. I am moving from the real esate industry and passive investing into trading, but the deal remains the bargain and thats what makes it worth the time. To see why you sometimes succeed, sometimes fail, but keep going up and onwards. That does take passion.

Best of luck to all and one.

I like the idea of not having a job in which I report to others. One of my aims is also to get a source of income that's not tied to any specific geographical loion. Thus FX permits for both so I'm studying as far as I can.
