Thread: MT4 Overwriting Historical Data

  1. #1
I'm hoping one of those men who are more acquainted with the platform than that I will help me out with this issue. I have been attempting to import M1 data from FXDD. The import works fine, also that I can observe the M1 data on the chart. For just a little while. Apparently when the chart is upgraded, all of the deleted information is removed from view, even though the amount of documents in the history center still appears to signify that the data is still there somewhere. Is there any way for me to conserve the historic data I have erased during a live market?

I have also had some trouble working with the interval converter script (the select. An individual would not load for some reason) to get the greater time frames to generate from the M1 data. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid!

    Thank you in advance.

Thanks, I got it to work. Not certain why the information was disappearing on me but it has stopped doing so now. In terms of the period converter, if anybody else comes hunting, http://www.forex-tsd.com/indiors-exp...er-script.html into some fantastic set of instructions for how to use it correctly. I assumed it would write the bars into the chart automatically but you have to import them.

You could navigate (with eg. Windows explorer) into the history-folder, right click the files and set from the properties to browse just.
This should protect against mt4 from overwriting exisiting files...
