Maybe someone will help me to sort out what my issue might be with the operation of MT4 on my new trading pc. My computer is just a couple of months old. It is a custom built quad core, 4 gig ram, windows xp pro 64, multiple video cards, etc.. It is devoted to nothing else and trading. So what happens is that I load up in the morning and everything is doing normally. My desktop will consist of EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY every with 5M,15M, and daily timeframes. So then maybe a couple of hours later when I attempt to scale the charts, or work with any drop down menus it seems to take forever. What's in motion. So I shut down the program and restart it and everything is fine for awhile until the exact same thing happens. Now the crazy thing is I've MT4 on a ratty old celeron HP Notebook and it never seems to happen on that computer. In reality I leave this computer on all of the time together with the MT4 running and also the operation never appears to deteriorate. I've checked my system processes and can observe that MT4 will spike the cpu load to 25% very often which appears quite large to me. I'm sure hoping that someone has some thoughts on this cause it's me baffled. Any assistance will be greatly valued.
