which broker would that be through?

And HotSpot? I have not seen a broker offering spreads as tight as I can undergo CNX or even Integral, which was the retail CNX.

I just checked out your posts in other threads, are you seeking to be a price maker into HotSpot?

    Eurscalpr,

The prime broker doesn't matter... LCG for instance. Spreads are tighter with hotspot up to I saw if you ask their best pools. With cnx you'll be able to get very tight spreads but they're all lastlookers and don't commit to the price or you get fills in 700ms while Hotspot matches in 15ms or so... (I don't say hs doesn't have lastllookers). Integral experience was bad for me. About egies I have more: market-making and also setups to hit their liquidity. For all of them I require a fast connection and best ping possible to their servers which mean equinix colo and cross-connect. Was hoping to get another trader that utilizes them to divide prices for the hardware component (colo cables).

    Zmax,

HotSpot's execution engine is significantly slower compared to cnx and integrals. Sounds weird considering Knight is a pioneer in low latency trading however understand hotspot's using its original engine and everything since has been a patch i.e it's getting old. . HS have last look and give the banks 300ms.

If your flow is competitive the banks will stop pricing 'you' and also you'll be put on their HFT feed and also the pricing on it is not so competitive.

I would recommend LMAX. I'm sure the banks can do with a roasting

Open a trading account with a primebroker that may grant you access to hotspot. Baxter,LCG,Rabo... the discussions you'll have together with the broker. However, it could go from 20k usd to 500k or more in order to start the acc.
