Thread: FXPIG discussion

    Hello,

Was Only looking at fxintel and Watched the spreads of FXPIG. They are governed in New Zealand, do not have a clue how nicely the regulation is finished there however.

Anyway, the spreads appear great, even when you think about the fees which are surpassing those of interactive and mbt. They claim to have murdered the table features out of mt4 and so forth. The name is somewhat strange in my view, but what is in a name....

As can be read on their own website, they only have launched very shortly supplying mt4 and retail fx in the way that they do today. I don't know whether they had been up and running an fx company in any other manner before this. In that case, is there anyone with customer experience? Other than that, is there anyone that is familiar with the New Zealand regulations?

    Thanks,

Great name,, ya gotta have a Kiwi sense of humour to receive it I live here in NZ and will be opening an account with these about the recommendation from a partner involved with creating EAs. Their site is down at the moment,, probably cleaning the spark-plugs. Our prime minister is a former, very successful, currency trader (and probably still is,'').

I had a account with FXPig. There execution times were very good in addition to their promoted spreads (not sure I always got them). 1 thing which I found annoying is there back office set up. When you move money it goes into what I presume is a private pig account. From there you need to make and then transfer cash to an fx account. It cost $40 USD to move cash to the private pig account and then $12 to move it to the fx account. Seems on the top.

I chose to leave when I discovered that the managing director was Kevin Mercko. I have not been able to confirm that it is the same man behind 'fxhoy.com'. There are surely forums where FXPig and Kevin Mercko are cited together as well as Kevin Mercko and fxhoy.com.

There was a site up Searching for investors at Premier Interchange Gateway or even FXPig, but appears unavailable in the second http://www.firstfloorfx.com/.

I have had no problems when withdrawing cash and FXPig have always been quick to respond to any questions I have raised.

    Perhaps I'm to suspicious.

I hunted fxhoy.com also it brought up lots of stories about a managed account person loosing peoples money.

Think I will give this (fxpig) a wide berth.

    Thanks for the heads up.

FX Pig is not regulated in NZ, they are enrolled in a monetary dispute resolution scheme.

I have to say that I finally have a lot more respect for Kevin Mercko and FxPig. I used to have an account, but once I discovered about FxHOY I ran for the hills. To Kevin's charge he has not hidden from it, but addressed it.
