    Hello again!

Have to repeat my Q from yesterday, you simply ignored:

Here are two screenshots. The 1st one is XM's chart and the 2nd one is your chart form a nice broker. Where's any cheating and hiding you are currently speaking about?

Please allow me to try and diffuse the situation regarding the server issue. What Botan626 is stating is in fact true that the above brokers (Pepperstone, IC Markets etc.) did in fact move their MT4 servers only one hour in order to avoid the extra day candle. By doing so, they did NOT delay (conceal) trading for 1 hour.
Now, because I live in Greece (time zone exactly the same as XM server), I personally I prefer that XM does not change their MT4 server for a week, like I care more about my orders representing the exact regional time that matches the MT4 server.

    Dear radioxf,

Correct me if I'm mistaken. But the time stamp you posted appears to be 29 hours ago.

If I'm understanding that correctly, you're attempting to place an order during a weekend, since the market is shut it is just impossible to close or open an order.

If I'm not understanding your question properly please correct me.

    Thank you,

    Hello,
I'd like to know what your firms stance is about the Dodd-Frank which was passed in america? Are you really really going to buckle about not accepting clients or shed your current clients at a certain point later on? There are a lot of brokers falling their US clients because of the strain of the CFTC currently. I'd like to hear what your businesses stance is and what it might be like going.

    Thanks,

    Dear Satchfan,

Thank you for your question whether the departure of this Dodd-Frank Act in the US will have an impact on how Trading Point is currently coping with US clients. I apologize for not having come back to you earlier on this subject, however as you can imagine, your question touched on a intrie problem on.

Our response to your question is fairly straightforward, however: Trading Point of Financial Instruments, Ltd. is a firm based in Cyprus and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under Licence Number 120/10 and registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the United Kingdom under Number 538324.

We currently don't have any institutions in the United States and we don't have any relationships with IB's or other associates situated or operating in the United States. As such, we're not subject to any legislative or regulatory authority's authority .

Pursuant to our CySEC license, we're licensed to engage in cross-border business transactions with clients who are loed in most jurisdictions throughout the world, including, inter alia, the United States. Accordingly, while we're not actively participating in the solicitation of business from clients loed in the United States, under our CySEC license, we welcome clients loed in the United States who register with us on their own initiative and therefore, in the long run, will continue to welcome United States clients who take the initiative to register with us.

I hope that the above gives you a satisfactory answer to your question, but please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any additional questions or remarks, or if you need any additional advice or assistance.

    With best regards.

Thank you for your answer. For what its worth, FxPro is accredited with CySEC and has an global permit, and they dropped. InstaForex is accredited by RAFMM and they've dropped accepting US clients. They are going to permit me to continue to trade and make withdrawals, but won't permit deposits going. I can not help but wonder how long it will require them to change their mind and prevent me from trading with them. It does not really seem to matter who the brokers are licensed with, it only seems to matter if they want to take the risk of telling the CTFC to Bug Off and mind their own business or just drop US customers and not need to bother either way. It looks like the majority of the brokers are choosing the latter option...

I'm well aware of the Memorandums of Understanding the CFTC has offshore regulators and how they're trying to make it quite uncomfortable for offshore brokers to take US customers.

Moving forward, any broker that made a decision to snub their nose at the CFTC, preferably quietly, may gain and edge getting US customers.

    Peace,

I am a USA client seeking a decent STP/ECN foreign broker. TradingPoint looks to be an interesting option. If you do well, I think picking up USA customers could be fantastic business opportunity for you.

I have downloaded your Demo MT4 and discovered that the trading market precision appeared to differ from currency to currency.

    From your site:

This means that rather than quoting prices with four(4) digits, Trading Point lets you gain from the lowest price movements by including a fifth digit (fraction). Fractional pip pricing allows for tighter spreads and also also the accurate quoting potential. This pricing is the result of our attempts to acquire the lowest prices from our multiple liquidity suppliers.
Nevertheless it seems this is not consistent. Most 5 Digit brokers have 5 digit precision for all pairs (except for its Yen pairs that are 3 Digit accuracy and the exotics that could vary). Your currencies appear to be a mix of 2,3,4,5 Digit precision.

While this is not always a problem, it will get to be a pain when working with several pairs, EA's, basket trading, etc.. .

Something to be aware of if you're thinking about TradingPoint as a broker.

Can there be a reason behind this variant in precision?

Thanks for participating here inforexforum.co.zaand for answering our queries.

    Dear Dozer,

Thanks for your remarks and for bringing to our attention everything might come across as somewhat confusing within our website with regards to fractional pip pricing. We do in fact provide pip pricing for our currency pairs upon request; however as a default we have included pricing on the pairs inside the Trading-Point MT4 platform.

If a client wish to possess fractional pricing on any other currency pair, in addition to those supplied we will adapt for this.

We'll amend the information on the website to more accurately reflect the above mentioned.

Thanks for your feedback and for noticing this!

    Kind Regards,
    The TradingPoint Team
