Thread: FXTrade-Oanda: Are you satisfied with their platform?

I'm quite delighted with Oanda. The best part is their spreads that I have discovered to be the ideal. They do expand a lot at news events, but that I don't trade around news releases so that I don't really care.
The charts are not too good and they don't have a 4 hour chart that I don't like. I use Oanda for my transactions and largely Tradestation, North Finance and FXDD for my charts.

    Good fortune,
    Rob

I have been using Oanda about three years now....no complaints.
There was one episode about a year ago but all was solved.

I really don't have like this much experience with oanda but I have live account for almost three months with them, I'm satisfied up to now, tiniest spread some times half pips no commissions I can not think it, so you can put buy/sell order everywhere and very honest only thing is they don't have Trailing stop.

I just closed with efx and proceeded to oanda and I am looking for a Swiss broker for moment.

    I hope it will help

Been using Oanda for 7 decades. It's true that their platform is lacking in charts and tools, but there's a tool that has been around for approximately 3 decades or so now that overcomes all of the drawbacks listed above - The FxSpyder platform offers trading accessibility to Oanda, it includes a complete autotrading object model, integrated two step trailing stops, fine charts, fine tools. It's absolutely free to try and a fee for unlimited trading. For cheapskates, just open a free demo account to access the feed.

Apologies in advance for this thread.
I was wondering whether somebody can give me a quick dash to resize the Oanda chart size window in the java app?
The charting screen size window is tiny as matters stand.

I am not sure whether it is because I am a real member, however I am not getting much success creating a forexforum.co.za Trade Explorer connecting for my Oanda fxTrade account.
On a positive note that I like the ability to currently be able to trade from/on the advanced charting charts.
-Is it still possible to link a Trade Explorer to fxTrade or dose it need to become an MT4 account?

    Edit - I believe I might be having a problem linking a Trade Explorer because it's a v20 account*

I guess I'll need to open a MT4 account When I want to link a Trade Explorer.
