Thread: What a nightmare depositing funds

So I have been trading FX off my stock broker(TDA:TOS) to the past few months but decided to look at Oanda. I have held an account there for a few months with all of the identifiion shipped in but not funded it.

So I go to use my debit card and finance the account and the transaction has been declined. I go to my banking announcement and lo and behold the transaction was removed into limbo processing mode.

So after talking to live aid at Oanda they said they never got it and bank of america live support says I am going to have to wait for the retailer to process it or not which does not make sense because Oanda says that they never watched it.

So who knows just how many days it takes for them to post the money back in my bank account maybe not a big deal but rather disappointing, Oanda really did not do anything wrong but this entire procedure was fruing. I remember FXCM(lol) has been much easier to deposit at...

I had the same issue. I used my debit card (with Visa emblem) and Oanda declined the card but my bank said that they approved and sent the money.

I contacted Live Help at Oanda and learned they utilize a 3rd party to transfer money via credit card and likely the difficulty was that Oanda has my middle initial on the account and my bank does not.

Following 5 times the money was set back into my bank account I changed the title on my bank account so it matched my title to the Oanda account perfectly and tried again.

Card dropped, but this time they didn't take my cash from the bank.

    going to try PayPal.

Never thought it would be this fruing to deposit cash!

The problem is that oanda doesn't take debit just credit cards. If you attempt to finance your account with debit it will show on your bank account money withdrawn but it is going to never be credited to a oanda account.

Finally your bank will charge you back the transaction but it can take a while.

Best thing to do is to compose oanda a check. In 3 to 5 times you'll have the money.

I loe oanda to be a good brokers but they do possess this kind of glitches. As the market gets more competitive among associations they need to find more user friendly to avert a exodus of customers.

Allow me to share my expertise and whatever I understand, and deductions from what I see.

My deduction: in august 2011, something major must have happen, it may be oanda, or visa

Heres my expertise. About 31 I fund my account using a debit card. The sum is withdrawn from my card and also the amount appear in oanda.

This gives me confidence at using debit card. And I can also be an adminior, I understand how purchase works. Debit card is no difference from credit card in the facet of buying.

12 August 2011 19pm, again I finance using credit card. This time, the amount is by the bank, and the lousy news it doesnt appear at oanda!!!!!

This gonna be a very long cluttered issue....and a gloomy experience...

Without understanding much about the circumstance here, if you are having problems SENDING your broker cash, you may be a redne... uhh you may have a problem!

Usually it's getting money from the brokers whom I've seen traders possess. (Personally never had problems, other than confusion over wire directions lt; classic one)

Good luck with the procedure though, hope it works out for you.
