Thread: An exandle of how to burn accounts

That is an instance of their logic of disperse...
I had an account using horizontal place, means 1 BUY and 1 SELL, to pay my ass since the marketplace was instable... however...
I discovered it shut with amount 0, and assessing the transactions, I noticed they shut the BUY in 11134.5 along with the SELL in 11192.0... DEAD

I complained and opened an investigation: they say it's normal, as disperse is changeable...
and to me asking if it was normal that the spread is generally around 2 or 1, with peaks of 4, in that instant was 60... they responded using attached picture.

Do you think it's normal? No longer market manufacturers...

Resembles the DAX jumped from 11134.5 to 11191 in a split second

Bid and Ask move independently from each other, the difference of these prices is the spread. It widens and it contracts, these items are normal. Hedging isn't any safe guard against spread widening, it's quite the reverse actually. You can of course check if exactly the same occurred with other brokers or on different accounts of that same broker but generally I believe the majority of those the broker expands my spread to rob me stories are only rubbish.

I assessed chart at IC Markets and I must acknowledge that it is looks rather questionable. There should not be dispersed widening at this moment. But you can not prove it to ActivTrades. It's poor market maker broker that utilized many tricks in the past to make trading extremely hard. Delaying implementation by 20 minutes, maybe not problem in any way, they could do anything they want and explain that it was spread widening or outside server problem, your computer problem, MT4 issue etc..

Utilize site like http://www.tradeproofer.com to compare entrances to all other brokers. Much simpler to complain when u have significant claims.

In almost every situation, suddenly wider spreads are based on news releases.

    Thank you for your comments.
Chatting with their customer service is quite useless, they still state that bid and ask are given by the market

Anyway, the fantastic thing is that I did not have huge amount of money, but it's the principle...
I posted this story simply to share the experience, then everybody can take their conclusions.

Insomniawawa is totally appropriate... they can find any possible justifiion to describe and therefore it's basically impossible to prove anything.
    Lesson learned for me personally
