    No it was not.

    I have 4 very reliable feeds which aren't associated with bucket stores. None possess the AUDCAD spike.

    Since it was a Citibank problem and your feed is Citibank, how can you make the intellectual leap that it'd give rise to a market broad forced liquidation?

    It would have surely shown up on FX Hotspot or even Currenex. Neither possess this spike.

    There's not any intellectual leap involved it is pretty obvious it had been a forced liquidation. It happens very often in cash FX. And if you're smart you will profit from these opportunities. But you can think whatever you wish to believe.
