If you're using scalping, FXTurbo is not for you. Find one that has raw spreads and fixed commissions. There are several decent ones if you know where to look.
Has anyone tried Pepperstone or ThinkMarkets to compare? I am interested to know if they also inflate spreads at that time or if it is something specific to FXTurbo.
That's what the forums are for, mate. Thanks for warning us. I was about to open account with them and this type of info is worth gold.
Thanks for all the answers. I already sent out a request to withdraw funds and I am looking at other options. Capital defends itself, and with FXTurbo it seems that you need to be more alert than operating itself.
After analyzing for weeks multiple brokers and personally experimenting with FXTurbo, ICMarkets and Pepperstone, I want to share an extensive reflection that may serve others who are going through the same search. One of the most critical factors that I have learned to evaluate is not only the spread or the commission, but the stability in the execution and transparency with which the broker communicates the changes of market conditions. A low spread is of no use if in key moments you can not close an operation or if you put in absurd slips without any explanation. In my experience, FXTurbo proves to have attractive conditions in appearance: welcome bonuses, competitive spreads in liquid schedules and a friendly interface. However, when comparing the real results, I detected a pattern: during macroeconomic events or in times of lower volume, their spreads and execution become unpredictable. And this was not only anecdotic; I analyzed 72 operations in three weeks and in 38 of them there were variations that were not justified between the executed price and the market option, even in limited orders. With ICMarkets, and execution are not unpredictable.
Thank you for taking the time to write all this. It really helped me clear up a lot of doubts I had.
But how much does the type of account you use influence? Does Standard vs Raw Spread change the story a lot?
Great contribution, very well explained. I'm starting to investigate ICMarkets right now.
And what about the slippage in news? ICMarkets also has problems there.
