I switched to cTrader for exactly that reason. I was fed up with the �surprises� in MT4 with the brokers. Since I operate on cTrader, not only do I see more clarity, but also my results improved because I can analyze the execution well. Yes, if you use complex EAs or rare indicators, it may not be your thing. But if you operate manual or semi-automatic, it is a flat improvement.
I'm also having a slippage with IC Markets, but is there any broker that doesn't have it? It's part of the game. The theme is how much and how often. If it becomes systematic, you do have to be alarmed there. It would be fair to at least give us tools to audit each execution without having to beg for support.
I can�t help but think that many expect too much from brokers. The market is manipulated, yes, but it�s not always the broker that pulls the strings. Sometimes you�re just in the wrong place at the wrong time. IC Markets is still one of the best retail options there is, if not the best. If you�re losing money, check your system before looking for external culprits.
Totally according to the previous comment. Here some look in the broker for the guilt of everything: their bad analysis, their over-leverage, their impatience. But if you use IC Markets with head, it is as decent as there is. Those who cannot deal with the nature of the market, should try a perpetual demo. So at least their losses will be imaginary.
I'm evaluating options to change, but I still don't find something clearly superior. I tried Eightcap and took a tremendous disappointment. Wider spread, and support... nonexistent. For now I will continue with IC Markets, but watching. If this becomes trend, I change without looking back.
After reading all the comments, I�m going to provide a more technical view on sliding with IC Markets, because I think many are pointing to the broker without considering the whole context. The slippage is not unique to IC Markets. It�s an inherent feature of the market, especially under conditions of high volatility and low liquidity. What does this mean?
