Thread: Broker complaints get over it ?????

This type of apathy is a contributing aspect to the outrageous treatment some brokers matter their customers also.
Whoever agrees with the above statement must not have ever had any actual money on a position such as the one below....
On Aug 24 at 20:18 FXDD period there was a fatal spike that probably took out a lot of peoples trades.
I have included charts for now (1 minute ) from the Oanda and FXDD platforms under.
FXDD shows a full 25 pips larger spike down than Oanda in this down spike. A couple of pips is 1 thing but that is obvious quit hunting.
FXDD customers got hosed big time,
If it didn`t happen to you it's no big deal RIGHT, lets all just hide our heads in the sand.... And get it over.
(even if those charts are a bit big,I don`t know how to make them smaller)

Did you talk to customer support? Oanda has these spikes sometimes also, but such transactions become undone (without customer intervention). If a stop of yours got hit, and they dont reinstate your commerce, you have a case, and would rightfully bash your broker in public. Otherwise, there isnt much to see .

These are the exact same 2 candles, 18 and 19 min. on Interbank (GMT).
    Definitely something weird going on.

Thank You for the charts Leighsww and .
So your charts demone that in the time that FXDD took a 35 pip nosedive spike down we have two other brokers who show no signifigant move and Oanda with only 10 pips down.

I only want to say that I am not so interested in this one spike,I wasn't at a trade in the time. My account isn't even with FXDD, I only use the charts for MT.
It's just that I am appalled at the greed and audacity of a stophunt of this size. From some other Broker
I am also somewhat in wonder at the mindset of people who believe the trading community should only quit bellyaching and spread em a bit wider when this happens.
Anybody else have a chart or a opinion on this?

I agree. . .trading is game now a days. . .only way you could avoid stop hunting would be to exchange on a longer period 1 day ahead and maintain the prevent loss as much as possible and split the trade among various brokers..its hard to do it. . .but it is the satisfactory way. . .spread your winnings across and also with little wins in each brokers..they wouldn't mind much

Hi guys, when this spike happens I am guessing it does not last too long? Few moments? Maybe an idea to have astrophic stop loss and close the trade manually when it goes against you? If the spikes are a couple of seconds the transaction will return from the green until you would have a opportunity to close it? Sorry I have only ever used cms and have no expertise of spikes yet but I am sure they exist.

I concur. Never keep quiet when dishonesty happens. We ought to maintain it as loudly as possible. Give a hand and they will ch your arm! !

Oh my goodness, that really does seem pretty nasty, I must say

Here is my screenshot, so that you are able to compare my Broker's feed (EFX/MBT), to which that spike doesn't happen (see white arrow in ichimoku cloud), either (like with Oanda's feed).

Why is it that spikes never or rarely happen for Take Profit? I had a 200 pip spike after that struck my stop loss - it struck it into the EXACT pip.

However, my limit orders for take Profit, never once has that been struck at a spike.

    One thing to Consider.
