Thread: Problems finding good futures broker for MT4

  1. #1
I have spent a great deal of time this past week trying to find a broker that I can demo together and use to get a good feel for the futures market. I have since downloaded demos with both North Finance and Orion Brokers. However, after downloading the two platforms, all I'm getting is gold and a couple stock indexes. I'm pretty certain they provide more markets than this, so how come I'm not getting anything else? I'm dumbfounded as to why this is occurring.

Should you know of any adequate brokers where I can demo these markets, that'd be awesome (even if they don't run through MT4). So long as I have charts, basic tools, and the ability to demo commerce, I'll be content for now.

    Thank you Ahead of Time!

There a few brokers who offer CFDs through Metatrader (with futures as the underlying instrument) - although not as direct access to futures exchanges. There are a number of limitations to MT4 which makes it unsuitable for futures trading, such as there is no depth/orderbook functionlity.

Thank You for the Responses. I downloaded the ActivTrades platform but for example Shrike noted, it only supplies CFDs, whose charts only date back about a month. This makes it hard to analyze much!

It seems like I am going to have to experience an internet platform, which can be fine. Just hoping to get it figured out!

I recommend taking a look at interactive brokers or transact futures -

It is possible to get futures information that is delayed quite affordable from eSignal. Likely from different sources also. IBs demo platform is futile, to acquire great data you must have a funded account, which necessitates 10K to open.
    ps: How about MBTrading?

Yeah when I discovered IB I had been excited about trying out their presentation, until I saw the line about having a funded account. Sheesh! Thank you for the tips everybody- they are going on a list to be tried out. It didn't take me long to find that finding a good futures broker is an extensive task...

If you truly wish to trade futures, the best platform according to many forums I've read and from my own experience is Ninja Trader with a zenfire datafeed. You can demo this for free via either ampfutures as posted over or Mirus Futures. Both are respectable brokers.

If you want absolutely free MT4 charting for futures the only one I understand if is Waterhouse Capital.

Call Dave Manukian at San Fran.

They've got MT4 up and running for ECN via Hotspot/Currenex right now, plus they are in the process of hooking up MT4 for the Entire line of CBOT/CME futures. It's in the works, which means it'll probably take a few months to roll out.

I strongly advise that you to go with Windsorbrokers, they from cyprus but regulated by FSA and CYSEC, already in bussiness for 20 decades, they utilize Mt4 plaform, leverage 100:1 and 200:1, maximum spread is on majors even news. They've ditigent supporters and alway willing to assist you even make oversea call. I will say about them is superb.
