Thread: GoMarkets Discussion

Why was the final GoMarkets thread delivered to the bin?

Either way, I've recently opened a dwell acc together but before I invested a while I wanted to ask all of you good sages to your experience/opinions.

Testimonials at http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/ (Currency Market authority military - broker review site) have lately recorded Gomarkets(AUS) as a fairly good broker. Allowed the early reviews were pretty bad but apparently they've cleaned up their act a lot. Likewise some guys here suggest the broker.

Before this change of heart I was using Alpari.co.uk I utilized Alpari because they appeared to become a well established, dependable broker. I took a 4 month break due to pressing concerns not Currency Market associated and when I returned to start trading again I discovered that Alpari had taken a turn for the worse (according to reviews and posts here) so I was quite worried about trading together again. I would love input and some ideas relating to this.

Total I'd like to learn whether or not GoMarkets(AUS) is a GOOD broker who won't scam me of my money or try and sudden moves that'll ruin my account. Additionally, I'd like to know that they won't 'debt,' my account over random BS and that they also won't call me out of the blue telling me to fund my acc with more money or that it will go bust.

I just want a trusted broker that won't scam me of my hard traded money...

    Thanks!

Also like I mentioned, one of my PC's executes a lot quicker than the other....
Distance alone can not possibly be the reason, as my orders with Transact futures (US server),and earlier with Oanda, were executing nearly immediately.
I have to say I have no affiliation with this broker, and when established they're playing games it'll hurt them considerably, however, I don't believe that to be the case.
    I will choose the moment...
I've installed it onto a High End pc, that I made myself..The pc boots Windows 7 in 11 seconds (rounded up). I have a connection that is fast that is true, because I tried everything I could on my end, and couldn't get execution times with Gomarkets.

I believe that this is a problem that just go markets can solve.

I am wondering if Lot size has an impact on how quickly the trade could be executed?

    Hi, GoMarkets

Would you clarify this? I'm a seasoned trader, and that I have more than one broker so that I can compare my feeds.

This spike caused sudden reduction. I wouldn't say this spike looks fishy or clumsy. However, I didn't find this spike elsewhere (from other brokers' feed)

Edited: follow-up: commerce regained, thanks, GoMarkets!

I have a live account with go for some time today (back when those evident bad reviews were being made also)
These bad reviews were a load of bs in my personal opinion. I've not had a problem with them.
Alot of folks were having issues with there transactions not going through but not had a issue and everything ran quickly. I believe that it was the event of individuals internet connection playing up more than Proceed. They did there best to help those individuals having difficulty to. But you can do.

I have a little account simply to see if they're dependable and yes they're. They draw your money whenever you ask, quickly. They dont stop hunt you or whatever you call it. They have my trust and I wouldnt where right now, consider else.
They've had more money in there live feed today so the spreads are abit better and the data is fairly clean to.
There customer support is good aswell, so if u have an issue with your account they fix this up quickly.
At this point I do believe they're a good broker who would like you to do well. Untill proven otherwise I am pleased to exchange with them

ps. Army are filled with idiots.

Great. Either way I'm going to demo for a week or two with them to try out stuff and implementation speeds I'll fund my account and begin trading.

They do not call you up for extra funds etc do they?

Whilst they did enhance their presentation I believe I dont believe demo-ing using a broker will really give an an accurate thought on their actual time server rates. Whilst go's are great on live I would simply open a live account and a little bit of cash to begin with. I didnt do a demonion.
Either way you will have someone ring u up to welcome one to go markets whenever you do reside and you will get someone call you when you access the demo likely asking you what your plans are.

No one has called me asking to put more income in. They probably call you in case you obtain margin called lol but that's normal.

Any forum you are going to have whinging about any broker. That is my experience with them and I am happy.

I have read that their Currenex feed is so excellent, so I am considering trading.

Nevertheless since their server is in Australia I am wondering if anybody trading from outside of Australia (e.g. US or UK) experiences considerably slippage.

The round trip ping length from US is around 200ms, so by the time you find a price in your terminal it can be obsolete.

So if anybody from outside of Australia transactions through GoMarkets, please discuss your experiences, especially regarding slippage.
