    Hi guys,
just want to know is there any different for your own chart between NDD and ECN?
Because, eventhough it's from precisely the exact same broker (I dont know if I can tell the broker name or not) but they are showing different chart. I just discovered it now, thats why sometimes the price showing different action when it confronting daily high or daily low, and S/R line. I just dont dare to judge that the broker are cheating the price yet, because my lack of comprehension about the NDD and ECN system.

I attached the image, and circled the strange price place. And perhaps you can all give some opinion.

    My thoughts are this:

Your broker probably has different liquidity suppliers for each sort of account. The ECN accounts tend to have vastly deeper liquidity pools. Hence, the price swings TEND to be less volatile. This equates to slightly smaller price pubs. Fundamentally, prior to any market can go higher, all the offers at a specific price level need to be bought before it can move higher. Conversely, all of the bids have to be sold prior to a market can move lower. Hence the ECN account tends to have more bids/offers (heavier liquidity pool IE 10 million instead of 1 million) at every price increment which is the reason you see slightly smaller price bars since it requires more trades and or volume to move the ECN's due to the huge amount of bids/offers waiting to be stuffed.

This is a really simplistic effort for you to see the gap in an ECN account. I hope it helps. You could contact your broker and have them explain the difference to you. I'm pretty sure they will say something like that, but probably will be better in the explanation. LOL

Well now I think about it, Mark Douglas describes it rather well from the following video on youtube. It is titled Mark Douglas - Mind over Market. He really gets to what I was attempting to spell out in part two. I will post up part one and you can continue to click through the next part when each one ends. I really do recommend this video for all traders to watch, although I know I will get bashed for that because not all traders think mental discipline is essential. I, however, do believe it's so all of you that disagree. . Bug off I don't care if you like this video or not.

    Thanks for the reply SatchFan,
I believe the data feed should be exactly the same between ECN or NDD, else you will make wrong analysis, (like I did ).
In this case how come the price action from ECN prior to yesterday high is following from NDD feed?

@hedge212 the broker is alpari nz
