    If I ask a broker what is there internet funding should they tell me and is it lawful for them to withhold this information?

    that I don't have any clue about Australian legal requirements, but I don't know of any Canadian, US or EU condition where a broker would need to disclose this. Even when they did, most people could not interpret it, nor - most significant - could it be confirmed.

    I don't see where they would need to tell you , there could be legal requirements in place. You've not mentioned the country where the broker are situated, but that is surely a major component of their legal responsibilities to you.

    And all that aside, what they tell you about the phone is meaningless, because, it's not legally binding. The client agreement you sign is to a point, but don't forget laws don't actually cross country borders - brokers know that, which is the reason why they loe in locales such as Belize, Cyprus, and other bastions of law enforcement. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic )
